Another ch 5 drama

We love a ch 5 😂

The feud is a new 6 part drama - airing for 3 nights a week x 2 weeks

What can happen when a neighbourly dispute gets out of hand

Jill and Rupert play a couple - Emma and John who fall out with their neighbours Sonja and Alan over extending their kitchen and an extension

The Feud, an upcoming domestic thriller, takes the tension of "nightmare neighbours" and raises it to a whole new level, blending gripping drama with a cast of familiar faces that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Starring Jill Halfpenny and Rupert Penry-Jones, this Channel 5 drama (https://www.yours.co.uk/leisure/celebrity-tv/channel-5-dramas/) is "full of paranoia“ and promises to pull viewers into a world where trust is scarc
e, and every interaction feels like it could ignite a powder keg.

'Emma and John Barnett, who, along with their teenage daughter Beth, appear to live an idyllic life on Shelbury Drive.

They’re close friends with their neighbours, Sonia and Alan, and despite their foibles, are also fond of older couple, Derek and Barbara.

'The close friendships in this seemingly peaceful street prove to be not quite as harmonious as they seem', teases the synopsis.

'When Emma and John decide to add a kitchen extension to their house, things quickly start to spin drastically out of control.

As objections to the plans are raised, unexpected skeletons and life-threatening secrets begin to rise to the surface.

Laced with menace, The Feud reveals how Emma’s aspirational dream turns sharply into obsession, paranoia, and fear. One decision sets in motion events that have unforeseeable consequences for both her and the people living on her street.'

I have turned from this to Glass dome dead magpies to dead blue tits.🤢
I wanted to see the copper get her comeuppance. Could Beth have ripped off the oven door?

Papergirl1968 · 23/04/2025 22:01

It was…I have no words. Ludicrous is the best I can come up with.

the80sweregreat · 23/04/2025 22:02

It was good fun though
I liked the Lee character, met a few builders like him before!

Flamingo68 · 23/04/2025 22:03

Someone please help me understand the relevance of the older lady’s son returning. Where has he been?

Violashifts · 23/04/2025 22:04

I liked how it was normal houses not huge Grand designs wet dreams. Easy watching.

the80sweregreat · 23/04/2025 22:04

Yes. Normal houses , normal street. Did make a change.

I think he disappeared as the Dad was a violent and angry controlling man. Surely Jill would have recognised Marcus though if Beth did.

the80sweregreat · 23/04/2025 22:05

nobody knows where Marcus was before or seemed to care much.
how Emma ran around in heels was impressive.

the80sweregreat · 23/04/2025 22:08

Will she get her kitchen ? So many questions they didn’t answer eh?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2025 22:09

few loose ends

So will cctv man Nick be done for murder of Alan

emma doesn’t forgive but will she get her kitchen

so does john go off with neighbour Sonja and play happy families and raise baby

or did sonja do it alone

how did beth recognise Marcus but Emma didn’t

obv Barbara overjoyed to have dead hubby Derek as he was a wife beater

and her son Marcus back

did lee get his money

I did wonder why Emma didn’t get suspicious when the nasty policewoman immediately seemed to know it was her daughter she was reporting missing.
Enjoyed it all though, and I liked the Marcus twist.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/04/2025 21:11

What do you mean

sorry if it wasn’t clear ! Watching it so I don’t have to any one as i was only curious about the tree. (like a stunt double)

That’s what I said

she said she

That is a very very good question ! All I think when I see her is ‘Braxton Hicks’ does anyone remember that ? she said it about 79 Times per episode of what ever forgettable rubbish it was

Did Sonia get away with hurting the security man ?
Emma said ‘ if you need a lawyer ‘ .. but she was still suspended and Beth wasn’t pressing charges against Andi for kidnap etc. So Emma couldn’t work still ?
I did watch it, but the ending was rushed at times and it didn’t make a lot of sense really about what actually happened to them all at the end.

Augustus40 · 24/04/2025 07:13

So the significance of the tree was just Marcus had planted it as a young child.

Was happy to see him reunited with his mum but how could be afford to buy a house that nice at his, age! Crazy.

limebasilandmentalhealth · 24/04/2025 07:30

It was ludicrous but I was still hooked.

When Emma saw that Beth’s tracking on the phone was live… surely any Mum would be straight in the car to follow where the tracking was moving to.

Nah, Emma decided to go and view the CCTV again and rifle through her neighbours drawers instead 😂😂😂😂😂

the80sweregreat · 24/04/2025 07:34

Marcus was clearly a city broker or someone with a ‘ big ‘ high paying job to afford that house on his own.
shame he couldn’t sort out his abusive dad , but maybe he just moved away with work or something like that ?

I loved it

kept us guessing

was a good ch 5 drama imo

Yes I liked it and it did keep us guessing.

So many plot holes though like reporting someone missing without giving a name, a description, a last seen.

Worrying about magpies when said dd is missing.

A house being on the market seemingly the day after the murder whilst Beth still tied to the oven.

Peter barlow didn't contribute much really.

You'd have thought there would have been a police presence interviewing neighbours etc but the time scale was sketchy. It implied it was a while ago, yet Beth still tied to the oven so that was surely the same week 🤔.

Anyway yes I liked it, thought the acting was all quite convincing.

Serpentstooth · 24/04/2025 09:01

Too many holes. Hope that won't translate as a desire for S2 to resolve them.

the80sweregreat · 24/04/2025 09:20

Really didn’t like that police woman ! I wanted her to be arrested. Nasty piece of work.
