The whole camper van, how much do we love Harvey was nonsense!

The camper van stuff was such nonsense it was more irritating than usual. Taking all those kids out of school in term time, a small camper van - it was all to show that Harvey was almost caught out but not quite as the plan wasn't to take Jean originally.

The proposal was nonsense as well - really hope he says no to her. Ross Boatman is such a good actor I think as he genuinely acts like such a wet lettuce, but sort of cuddly and nice at the same time, so you can just about see what the women like. I re-watched episodes of 'Mum' recently on iplayer and had forgotten he was in that as well, playing a fairly similar sort of part, only even more wet.

I remember the Harvey actor in ‘ mum’ and he was the same there too with the nasty horrible Pauline !
He plays the ‘ Everyman ‘ quite well.

He's a total people pleaser, and it causes him no end of bother. Kathy, Jean, that woman whose husband his son attacked, all the Slaters....
