Did anybody else get tickets yesterday?
I’m so excited, I love Shearsmith and Pemberton (and still nurse an almighty crush on RS). Also a bit nervous, as I still have to watch some episodes from the safety of behind a cushion.

@AreYouShittingMe
@thenightsky

There Is There Is Grin
On "Culture Vultures" it's at the top of the list as it's been posted on recently .

You can discuss the finer points and The Twist to your hearts contents Grin

AreYouShittingMe · 31/10/2025 08:39

Thank you @70isaLimitNotaTarget! I’ll be heading over there!

TheGriffle · 01/11/2025 18:49

Just back from the Hull matinee. Excellent show, we had Mark Addy as our guest star, very pleased with that.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/11/2025 22:10

They're doing quite a grueling gig , started in London in Feb IIRC , some days two performances ( matinee /evening )

Just finished Psychoville (weirder than weird) they must spend more time with each other than their spouses !

Melancholyflower · 01/11/2025 22:42

Have just seen that they had someone else from local TV/radio in Hull. We’re going to see it again next week in Oxford and I’ll be gutted if we get someone like that - I probably wouldn’t even know them! It was Matthew Horne when we saw it in London in February.

NettleTea · 02/11/2025 17:59

I love psychoville. I really wish they would be allowed to do the 3rd series which was not commissioned. Although of course we ended up with IN9 as a result, which was a wonderful run. It would be good to go and see them tie up the knots, like they did with the 2018 LoG

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/11/2025 18:52

I think they tied up Psychoville pretty well , it was a huge leap from the creepy hospital to the white techy office . And as you say , we got Inside No9 after this Grin

I had hoped they'd do a Hallowe'en episode as a one off for 2025 but I guess they're busy doing their tour .
I've decided , I want Biggins as the guest when I go . (it won;t be I;m sure but I;ll hope )

NettleTea · 03/11/2025 18:25

I think I just wanted a bit more Mr Jelly

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/11/2025 20:51

Running from 2-6 January 2026 at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith, the show will play 6 performances which is billed as your last chance ever to see this acclaimed stage

It's coming back to London <enabler> if anyone is looking for a London based theatre .

"Lunn-Dunn" said in a Tubbs Tattsyrup voice ..

EachandEveryone · 12/11/2025 09:38

I’d have no one to go with how do u explain it to prople

NettleTea · 12/11/2025 10:23

Id love to but am so strapped I think its sadly an extravagance I cant afford right now

I went on my own. Not a single person asked me about going on my own, no explanation needed!

Who do you need to explain it to? No one cares.

EachandEveryone · 12/11/2025 16:59

Oh I get a companion ticket as I’m dissabled so I would have to ask someone but the only ones that have watched the show have been to this one

EmeraldRoulette · 12/11/2025 23:47

@EachandEveryone do you mean how do you explain it to people who haven't seen the show?

I was thinking about that when I watched it. But the first half is kind of self-explanatory, isn't it? I think it stands up on its own but it's just so much more fun when you know the drill so to speak.

I think it was me who started the spoiler thread on culture vultures.... why does that feel like ages ago?

EachandEveryone · 13/11/2025 10:23

I mean if they haven’t watched the tv show or any of their work.

EmeraldRoulette · 13/11/2025 14:06

I have been thinking about this and it does work on its own and they did say they were very conscious that there might be people watching it who have no familiarity

If they want a little introduction, I would suggest watching A Quiet Night In.

It is utterly bonkers and you do have to concentrate a lot I think but hopefully whoever goes with you is happy to do that anyway!

I never watched League of Gentlemen so I would've missed any references to that. I realised from posting here that I've missed some Psychoville references as well and that's in spite of watching it! But it certainly didn't affect my enjoyment of the show.

I do know inside number 9 pretty well though 😂

EachandEveryone · 13/11/2025 14:47

I’m on hold for accessible tickets. I’m quite fussy can only go to matinee tickets so that’s restricting me really. I can’t believe how expensive it is I’m not sure I’m willing to pay £130 for two tickets and they don’t even tell you where you are sat. I had none of this for Kate Bush 😀

You did indeed start the thread @EmeraldRoulette

DH and I saw it in March and I was blown away . I hadn't read anything about it before . DD and going to see it this month , I am keeping quiet about the Spoiler/Twist .
I was bereft when Inside No9 finished ( yes I watch it over and over )

We watched Psychoville over Hallowe'en , the bit where David is singing the "Technicolour Dreamcoat" song , Steve Pembertons beautiful eyes <love>

And we'll watch the LoG Christmas Special of course Xmas Grin- It's a Real Good Treat , oomph

EmeraldRoulette · 13/11/2025 21:50

@70isaLimitNotaTarget it feels like such a long time ago!

@EachandEveryone how did you get on?

EachandEveryone · 13/11/2025 22:06

Never got through I don’t know if anyone was even working on the line I was waiting ;5 minutes and hung up.

EmeraldRoulette · 13/11/2025 23:26

@EachandEveryone sorry to hear that

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 25/11/2025 23:26

I went tonight- I was absolutely petrified at bits (I’m a notorious feartie though). We got Jonathan Watson as our guest, he was in my favourite film of all time so I was happy.

I might have even waited to get my programme signed but it was too cold for the cast to come out, to be far it looked like they had arrived that day and started rehearsing- some were arriving with suitcases!

I went on Saturday in Liverpool. Loved it! The tube after was full of people reading their tour books.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/11/2025 19:45

Oh , Johnathon Watson, couldn't place the name but I recognised him when I searched.
