I love their work - hence my name! Never quite got DS 17 into it though he loves horror movies, but I’d love to go and take him. For those who have been, are there frequent references to their previous episodes, i.e. would it still be enjoyable for DS if he had not seen many of the them?

I don’t think it’s necessary to have seen any of their previous work to enjoy the show.

I was hoping for Mark Bonnar too but DD looked up the past guest list and said he's already been on.

All the Inside No 9 episodes are stand alone with the exception of the very last one (Plodding On) which has references .

No Spoilers but :

Get him to watch "Bernie Cliftons Dressing Room" and "Quiet Night In" which are featured in the first half. Tell him it's an hour out of his ver' ver' busy schedule

I re-watched Psychoville as it's referred to in part 2 ( DD and I will re-watch this week as it's Hallowe'en)

A few of them are scattered through, some of the references are very subtle but they're there
I think the only one's that would seem odd without prior knowledge are the sardines episode & bernie Clifton

Are the jump scares worse than the episode of League of Gentlemen when Ross shags Pauline over a coffee table? Still traumatised.

Last night in Hull was fabulous. Lived up to every single bit of hype. Our surprise guest was Tommy Cannon of Cannon and Ball fame. I was disappointed initially, but honestly, he was amazing and threw himself into it totally with lots of ad-libs which had Reece unable to get his breath and carry on with the script due to laughing so much!

Nothing is scarier than that!!!

We went to see the matinee in Hull today. Absolutely loved it! I don’t think you need to have seen either Inside No 9, but there are references there.
Our celebrity was local radio presenter, Kofi Smiles, which lead to some piss taking out of his accent.
