On in about 15 mins, anyone planning to watch?

OP posts:

Just catching up now

Stacey is amazing! Joe is 😕🙄

e45cream · 12/04/2025 22:16

Wow all the criticism! I really liked it. And I haven’t been following either of their careers. Thought their life seemed nice and their kids seemed really sweet.

I thought he seemed chaotic and impulsive and definitely thought ADHD (and then in the trailer for episode 3 they mentioned ADHD) but not unlikeable.

She comes across as very likeable.

mindingmyown37 · 12/04/2025 22:53

Love both of them, related to her on x factor, she had zach at 17 and i had my son at 19, there is 2 months between them. Love Joe on eastenders, id have been fuming if he was 5 hours late but you can tell he really loves his family. They are funny together. The stuff they argue about is the stuff normal couples argue about. It seems genuine. I follow both on social media so already aware of some of the stuff shown.

Joe was doing a weird batch cooking programme on Ch4 or maybe 5 and he just was just talking absolute bollocks and I just thought poor Stacey If this is what he's like at home!

I quote liked Joe on that. He came across ok

i haven’t seen this yet as she annoys me as always the fake smile with huge teeth - in every picture I ever seen

I did see on think cover of close magazine that their programme got slated and why I looked for a thread on here and found this

so to watch or not ?

Honestly I liked it. I’m currently recovering from some minor surgery so watching more tv than I normally would. But I sought out the second episode and I’m not fussed about just anything.

I like their cottage, hectic lifestyle with all the ducks and gardening and busy work stuff. And their kids seemed like really nice kids.

We normally enjoy the same sort of programmes, Blondes, and I like this so think you would too. Easy viewing. Second episode is better than the first.

the80sweregreat · 14/04/2025 10:10

Episode two was definitely better and Joe came across a little bit less annoying , despite the beans on the sofa problem which wasn’t great!
He couldn’t see why she was annoyed at him, but they have light coloured furniture ( no doubt it’s not a cheap sofa !) and the children should have ate in the kitchen. He seems to have a bit of a short fuse at times , but they have a lot going on constantly and it must be stressful. Plus maybe some acting up for the cameras too ! I do like them though , Stacey was so pleased to win the NTA award and it seemed deserved.
it’s nice she has so much time for her family too.

DD was watching this earlier - they need a nanny! Two high profile jobs with irregular hours/overnight stays and three children under 5 - so not fair on her dad to rely on him so much.

Nanny and housekeeper will save their marriage and sanity.

the80sweregreat · 14/04/2025 14:51

I’m surprised that they don’t have a Nanny or a cleaner.
( or .. maybe they do , but it wouldn’t make a tv show that interesting if it was all done for them I suppose )
Her dad seems very good, but he can’t be around constantly.

qwertyasdfgzxcv · 14/04/2025 15:13

Eeeew no thanks and is their house really called Pickle Cottage. Her voice is too much really and rather ITV

the80sweregreat · 14/04/2025 15:44

I do like their house! It’s so lovely. I couldn’t deal with having to drive everywhere as it looks a bit out the way , but for them all it looks perfect and tastefully decorated.

Rather itv? Remind me which channel has arguably the most popular soap known to man, and has done so for donkey's years. Eastenders on BBC. It doesn't seem to have done their viewing figures any harm and voices like Stacey's are a mainstay and probably a requirement.

Fizbosshoes · 15/04/2025 07:31

I didn't watch. I don't mind Stacey but I saw Joe on a celeb version of the hit list and he came across really childish and annoying (and crowing to the other team about his team being ahead, even though his team mate - can't remember who it was - was doing the heavy lifting)

OneFineDay13 · 15/04/2025 07:40

NoIcantDropthis · 02/04/2025 20:03

I’ve met her twice through work. I have to say she is absolutely delightful- polite, kind (genuinely interested when she chats to you) and very professional. I’ve met other celebrities who were really rude and she was honestly one of the nicest.

I can believe this about her too. Joe sounds like a silly child poor Stacey being stuck with him

Meredusoleil · 15/04/2025 21:12

Really liked the 3rd episode tonight. Was heartwarming to see Joe acknowledge his ADHD related issues and try to seek help in the form of medication for it 👍

the80sweregreat · 15/04/2025 21:17

I do feel that Stacey doesn’t really understand Joe’s diagnosis that well and I’m glad he suggested that she sat in with the consultant the next time he goes along.

mum2jakie · 18/04/2025 20:48

Really enjoying this programme. Both are coming over as really genuine and lovely individuals. Hope their relationship lasts the course.

Doubledenim305 · 19/04/2025 00:06

She didn't want to read the gutter press' comments about the television awards. She made it clear she didn't want anything souring that beautiful, happy achievement for her. So Joe goes on, reads it anyway and tells her she won award for worst dress.
👎

autisticbookworm · 19/04/2025 07:03

It was light hearted easy watching. Stacey comes across as warm and loving but I think there’s more to her than she lets on . She’s an extremely successful business woman you don’t get that from being nicey nicey all the time. But fair play to her she has done well. Joe has been cast as the loveable scamp would have worked great ten years ago but nowadays women are sick of watching poor excuses for men get away with crap.

Meredusoleil · 22/04/2025 20:08

Keep meaning to say how much I love the opening credits of this show ❤️ Reminds me of The Wonder Years the way they have filmed it in an old style movie reel!

Meredusoleil · 22/04/2025 20:55

Absolutely PMSL at their pottery date night 🤣

Doubledenim305 · 22/04/2025 22:48

Absolutely love this show. Love Stacey and Joe is growing on me. Great job 👍 👏

TeaRoseTallulah · 22/04/2025 23:14

Why on earth didn't she wear an apron doing pottery? She was wearing white FFS. Most bizarre.

SanFairyAnnie · 22/04/2025 23:29

How did they get away with blatant advertising of the new hair products? How come Joe never takes that cap off?
