friend works at the party place that she went to. everyone was talking about it. not a good move on stacey's part and people remember it even now and it was a few years ago, but after x factor so everyone knew who she was.

I really enjoyed it. Stacey is an amazing girl💞 so much respect for her.
I liked joe before the programme but he came across as lazy and selfish.
They really need home help .. like a nanny .. and a domestic (if that even exists). Far too much to do by herself.
She also needs to simplify her life...eg no ducks pooing on the sofa😉
Joe really needs to be ready the riot act. Roll up his sleeves and be a reliable and hardworking partner or go and find someone else to sponge off.
Her boys and Joe just living off her hard work and success. They need to do their chores and stop sitting back and letting Stacy literally do everything.

Yes. That would have been a defining moment if it had been mh marriage.

Been ruminating about Stacey and Joe. What to do...
My answer Stacey is: Joe needs to give up being a house husband. He needs to go and get a proper job...full time /5 days a week..and then both of u employ and full time nanny for kids and housekeeper for doing housework and meals. That is the answer!
That's what needs to be done to save a marriage falling apart because what is going on now ain't working for Stacey.

No mention of Stacey's mum on the show, does anyone know if they're close?

Agree, a pp said that stacey is mentally on her way out of the marriage and I agree, based on how stressful that meeting was for her

(Although agree that it was probably staged but is definitely representative of their real life)

Think Stacey has said before that her mum doesn't want to be on camera, on her social media etc. Agree they need a nanny/ housekeeper/ babysitter, they seem to rely on her dad far too much. Ducks werent in the pen inside for long. Once they had all their feathers etc they built a shelter outside for them.

Do you think it’s possible that the producers or even Stacey (if what’s said above is true) put the camera crew up to delaying Joe to make him look bad and garner sympathy for her? Because it’s working. It just seemed very set up to me.

Yes, of course expect who are the producers as I'd be very surprised if they ( Joe and Stacey) aren't producing it themselves or have absolute control over what is shown,they're not daft.

Genuine question bec I have absolutely no idea how IG influencing works, but what would have been Stacey's motivation for deleting the party place photos once she had tagged them? Like what would have been her reason for doing that? I'm not very good at social media (beyond mumsnet and bluesky), so literally can't see the benefit of untagging them - why not just leave the post as it was??

Knowing this about her has made me a bit sad as I have really liked her.

Don't judge Stacy by a Mumsnet "hearsay"comment. Even if it were true, there's two sides to every story and u only heard one side.
Stacey comes across as really genuine kind of girl to me.
I don't know her personally but if I did, I'm sure I'd like her.

she (presumably) deleted the photos/tagging as she didn't want to advertise somewhere for free and/or she didn't think the place was up to instagram standard and/or she got a free party out of it so she and she just didn't want to tag them. i have no idea. but the owner was irked, especially seeing as she asked him for a freebie. he didn't offer a free party to her. it's a totally true story.

But the point is you don’t t know her. You only see her celebrity persona she might well be lovely but there’s also every chance she’s not. Just look at how many seemingly nice celebs have been unmasked as anything but!

Joe came across better in tonight's episode imho.

I'd go fucking ape shit if my dh fed the kids baked beans on the sofa AND he did it again with the blue berries ffs. I thought she was very restrained.

yes sweet to see how genuinely proud he is of her - the hope in his face watching the award announcement was lovely.

Maybe she wanted them to think she was keeping her side of the bargain in the short term but the party was a bit rubbish?

I've never watched any reality TV before but I quite like Stacey from SYLO so thought I'd try it out. I found it rather pleasant. Joe obviously is quite badly affected by ADHD, I'm surprised MN is giving him such a bashing when there's usually a lot of support for ND. And Stacey has the patience of several saints, he would drive me nuts. But agree with pp about the Essex voices. 7 of them squeaking at high volume together in one house? No. Too much. But good luck to them. She works bloody hard and deserves her rewards. And the TV award too, congratulations for that.

My DH has ADHD so I can definitely relate to the chaos Stacey has to deal with, but being 5 hours late when she had a business meeting was disrespectful whether he has ADHD or not. I do like Joe Swash but it will mean that Stacey will have to pick up a lot of slack within family life. Obviously ADHD isn’t all negative, there are many plus points to having it. My DH wouldn’t be as successful without his endless energy and passion for new projects.

I'm going to watch next week to see if he's planned for what he will do with the spare 2 acres x 6feet? Depth of soil he will dig out for his lake. I suspect not.😀

I’ve only seen the first episode, but I reckon some of it was made more ‘interesting’ for the cameras, like him being late, forgetting the nappies. I think their lives are mostly boring and mundane (like most peoples!).

Joe Swash is an awful human being! He is so selfish!!!
