My parents are staying for a few weeks and trying to find us something to watch of an evening is proving difficult.
We all like crime/thriller dramas but it seems we’ve watched different ones so everything I suggest they’ve already watched and vice versa.
My dad doesn’t like anything too emotions based eg we tried Apple Cider Vinegar and that didn’t work.
if it’s on bbc or itv they’ve probably watched it.
They also don’t like anything with loads of swearing or sex - occasional plot driven is fine.
also needs to not be a slow burn and capture them quite quickly.
Also doesn’t help that it usually takes them 10-15 mins to realise they watched something!

Am I too late to suggest Criminal UK on Netflix? Each episode is set in an interrogation suite, and each focuses on a different crime/suspect.

Same police characters each time, so you find out more about their stories too throughout the series.

The first episode has David Tennant as a being questioned about the death of his stepdaughter.

Each episode is like a mini-play, with a puzzle being solved.

There's also Criminal Germany, Criminal Spain and Criminal France (also on Netflix) - I liked it so much that I went on to watch them all!

Nurse Jackie on various streaming services. Pick one for the duration on their visit and get your money’s worth then stop your subscription. Couldn’t be easier. Enjoy.

I seem to remember this is a bit raunchy at times, quite sweary, and heavily involves drug abuse?
I mean, I loved it, but I don't know if it's watch-with-parents material.

Yes Nurse Jackie was quite dark I think I only watched season 1 it was too depressing.
