I actively avoided it when it first came out because I thought it was going to be too geeky and cringe. But I missed a treat. Or maybe I wouldn't have appreciated it at that age anyway, who knows?

Just watched the episode where they get involved with the football fans, and the scene where they are in the pub exchanging worried glances while in amongst a load of footy fans talking nonstop had me absolutely creased up. 😆😆😆 it's just so bloody British and I love it!

Quotes/ Bits I love: the whole "gay musical " episode, Jen ringing IT support and trying to decipher the guy's unintelligible accent, "overnumerousness" in the Countdown episode, the "tiny barrista " ( the man works with steam!!!), Richmond gliding in or up on the ceiling like Spiderman. Very good stuff.

Love Peep Show too, in fact, I prefer it. My fave is the Project Zeus episode.

Inspired by this thread I watched a few random episodes last night and noticed that the vicar in the episode of Denholm's funeral where Douglas makes his entrance ("unhand me priest" 😂) is also Neil's dad in the Inbetweeners.

This is why me and DH buy everything we ever like or love on DVD. Got 1000+ DVDs with LOADS of things. TV series, (comedy, drama, thriller,) horror films, drama action and sci-fi, comedy shows, stand up, the works. All the originals.

Even FRIENDS is unrecognisable now to what it was when it was aired (when we first saw it on TV) and soooo much stuff has been whitewashed or cancelled.

Stupid thing about removing the 'trans' episode from streaming sites is that the 'trans' segment is just incidental. The episode in question is called 'The Speech' and is mainly about Roy and Moss playing a prank on Jen after she wins 'employee of the month'.

I agree but Netflix has kept the trans jokes in Friends so I don't see the difference really.

I may be wrong but I think this is what kicked off the TRA Vs Lineham fight. I'm sure he was criticised for the trans episode and that kick started his gender critical crusade. That's probably why it's been cancelled.

Enjoy it. It's one of my favourite episodes and "Vienetta... Fiat Punto" always makes me howl. (That'll make sense when you've seen it).

The funeral scenes were filmed in a church I was once a member of.
