I love it!

I actively avoided it when it first came out because I thought it was going to be too geeky and cringe. But I missed a treat. Or maybe I wouldn't have appreciated it at that age anyway, who knows?

Just watched the episode where they get involved with the football fans, and the scene where they are in the pub exchanging worried glances while in amongst a load of footy fans talking nonstop had me absolutely creased up. 😆😆😆 it's just so bloody British and I love it!

Just sharing the love really.

I could watch IT crowd over and over and never get fed up of it along with Peep show.

Both are just so funny.

DullardFrigate · 04/03/2025 08:44

Also when Jen has to distract the women in the office so Roy can escape from under the desk (desk rabbit), by going to the window and saying "oh there's a builder outside taking off his shirt" 😂

I loved The Book Group. Nobody ever remembers it.

I loved the Book Group as well. Reminds me that Michelle Gomez is brilliant too who was in it, also in the Green Wing.
I will need to look up Channel 4 old episodes to find all these fantastic programmes.

OuterSpaceCadet · 04/03/2025 09:25

IT crowd theatre trip episode, first time watching, laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. Had to pause it for safety reasons!

SpanishJackie · 04/03/2025 09:37

Rewatched this recently, it's pure comedy gold. So many laugh out load moments....Jen's toes after wearing the shoes that don't fit 😂

Psycho bitches - her Mary Queen of Scotts is just brilliant - also very fond of Jack Whitehall’s Maria Von Trap

The Haunting of Bill Crouse is my favourite. Katharine Parkinson at the window is hilarious.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AR9tGikzKx0

I knew Katherine at university and had no idea until the last couple of years that she was famous! She was great, funny and self deprecating, exactly like she is on TV panel shows (I never watch those normally, but have looked her up on YT).

It's strange, I've occasionally wondered what she was up to, and all that time she was on a sitcom that everybody apart from me was watching.

Pianoaholic · 04/03/2025 10:04

I have been rewatching this over the last few weeks, DS age 16 loves it and wanted to watch it again.
Fave episode is the theatre trip!!
Also like the one where Roy accuses the masseuse of touching his bottom and it ends up in court where they show a diagram!

Gorondola · 04/03/2025 10:15
  • Japan has expressed concerns.
  • What, the whole country?
Davros · 04/03/2025 11:09

I will have to go back and watch it all again. May I suggest:

  • Lead Balloon
  • Uncle
Sassybooklover · 04/03/2025 11:11

Ah love The IT Crowd! My husband works in IT, and says that you do find some really weird people working in the industry! 😂

BobbyBiscuits · 04/03/2025 11:12

The one about the gay musical is classic. I really loved it for years. Maybe I was in the wrong mood or something, but it came on the other night and I didn't find it as funny. Not really sure why. I guess the characters are so OTT.

stayathomer · 04/03/2025 11:14

The ‘I’m disabled’ one- I nearly fell over laughing when she turned around and he was working behind the bar!!! Only watched for the first time recently too, can’t believe I almost let it pass me by!!!

CanOfMangoTango · 04/03/2025 11:18

Coffee Tramp Toss Bitch

The one where Jen goes on that awful date to the Mexican restaurant

The theatre trip is actual gold though.

MysteriousUsername · 04/03/2025 11:35

Short person racist! That's what I tell my kids they are if they're mean to me. Grin We love IT crowd and often quote it. Don't Google Google!

The Haunting of Bill Crouse is my favourite, makes me cry with laughter every time. Love the theatre episode. And the football one. All of them!

The IT Crowd is great comedy. Have you seen Black Books? That is also very good.

Also Green Wing of that era.

Maitri108 · 04/03/2025 13:27

Act normal

Act more normal

Garth Marenghi's Dark Place is brilliant.

nextdoorsgerbil · 04/03/2025 13:32

Its proper laugh out loud funny!

Love it!

Its such an injustice that we have all been denied more output from Graham Lineham ( who wrote it) just because vile, bullying gender ideologues made the cowards in the media world too scared to work with him.

Fuck them thinking they can dictate what we can and cannot watch, and who people can or cannot work with, (as well as what we can and cannot say and think 🙄) . And fuck all the cowards who kowtowed to the bullies.
