Last we saw of Baby Abby she was with Max.
I've no idea how old she is now or where they went.

The blood group thing was how Ian found out that Bobby was his child and not Gary’s also. There was some awkward unrealistic dialogue where Bobby was ill and Gary said ‘I’m all ready to give him a pint of my finest O’ to Ian and Ian figured it out because Bobby was a different blood group.

Forgotten that about Bobby and Gary etc.
They do tend to recycle the storylines

Oh yes. And now I remember Gary named Bobby after his favourite West Ham player.

Phil used to have a calm caring personality; he was lovely once upon a time.😍

Phil was never lovely. He beat Kathy and terrorised Lisa so much that she shot him. He threw (literally) a pregnant Sharon out into the street.
He hated Ben being "wet" and liking musicals, went off it when he came out.
Probably more, but that's plenty!

Think back to the earliest days Phil was a sweetie and Grant was rough. That's why 'Sharongate' happened. Phil became a monster but he wasn't always.

What a selfish, arrogant, entitled twat Zac has proved to be. So he's going to smash Barney's reality and turn his world upside down? Just because a stray sperm hit home after a sleazy encounter with Nickers? But he's a 'good dad'.

I thought Zack was really badly written in this episode. I don't believe he would be that selfish, and he certainly wouldn't demand Nicola immediately told Barney. Zack was written as an idiot so that Nicola could do her smug smirky face and blackmail him about Sharon and Grant.

What is going on with Kat and Alfie, chucking out Tommy's console then immediately buying a new one? (Was she still wearing her sling today?)

Phil was lovely for the first two or three years he was in EE, but it all went wrong when he slept with Sharon (who was then married to Grant). I'm fairly sure he never beat Kathy @gingercat02

I didn't buy Zac trying to snog Ruby, they did this with Lauren too and that weird thing with Tracey

I do think he's desperate to be a dad, hence trying to get Tommy to stay although goodness knows where Tommy was when he went to see Whit over Xmas

Phil has been awful over the years though. I don't remember him with Kathy but he was awful to Lisa and Sharon
He was awful to Ben and in his musicals era and Ben was abused by his girlfriend
There's no wonder Ben is so messed up
Mind you kids in EE get a rough deal they are either in peril or in a cupboard

I want to know this too about Kat and the console thing. Even Alfie was giving her the side eye about it all as she was being so cagey and weird 🧐

Kathy fell pregnant and gave birth to a boy, Ben Mitchell, in March 1996. He later contracted meningitis and was left with impaired hearing. Kathy became devoted to Ben. Phil began to feel neglected and, in his depression, he turned to alcohol. By the end of the year, Phil's drinking had developed into full-blown alcoholism. Phil became violent and argumentative towards Kathy. After he snatched Ben and left him near a fire while he passed out drunk, Kathy left him. Realising what he had lost, Phil tried to stop drinking and rebuild his marriage.

i thought it was Bobby Moore???

Possibly that is the same person though!

That piece from wiki about Phil is a bit vague.

I can remember Phil regularly being verbally abusive, and probably also physically intimidating, but I cannot remember him hitting a woman.

It's 30 years ago since he was with Kathy though so I could have forgotten.

Yeah I’m still sure Phil never hit her or any woman. If he did I think it would have been referenced at least once over the years by a character or the media.

Yes, Bobby Moore captained West Ham and was a club legend etc. I’m not sure Gary is old enough to have seen him play but Moore was apparently his favourite player.

Phil once slapped Sharon many years ago in the Vic. I can’t remember him ever hitting Kathy but he was very bitter, jealous and verbally abusive after Ben was born. I don’t think he was ever physically violent towards Lisa, even after he worked out she shot him, but he psychologically tormented her for a long time. Not a nice man.

He did start out as the pleasant, reasonable Mitchell brother but he has become steadily more twisted over the years. It all went downhill after Sharongate.

I stand corrected - yes he was violent with Sharon (just watched it on YouTube). Back in 2003. I doubt that would be shown these days.

The whole Bianca/Sonja/fire extinguishers thing was so bizarre but I kind of loved it! Sonja really is a terrible actress, bless her. I'm so happy for her that she's stopping doing it.

Phil was never lovely , but I can see why woman like him especially in the early days.
I knew a Phil type and he had no end of women , some like a challenge I think and he can be charming and reliable sometimes too. Good in a crisis especially if you want or need money. He isn't totally bad , but definitely one to avoid if you want the quiet life!
He definitely became worse after Sharon gate though I think and was jealous of Grant.

Just watched todays and regarding the console: Bert and Ernie broke it which is why it got thrown away. I think they meant to replace it but forgot. And the side eye is because they don't want to tell Tommy it was the twins in case he gets violent with them again.
