Sharon was so upset on Monday and laying around make up free and sobbing and now she's with her ex again ? .. do me a favour as Kim would say ! ( not seen it yet, but I'm not sure I want to ! lol )

I did predict a while back that Sharon would pout in Grants direction ! I just didn't think he'd be remotely interested though

I used to find Grant very attractive in the 90s. However not at all now (he's definitely Grunt these days), so I don't understand why anyone would swoon at his feet.

Sharon and Grant have a long history so their shag today was for me highly believable and as a pp said, her grief is a factor.

Ian and Jane had a grief shag at some point after Lucy's death.

Just watching Sharon on This Morning, apparently new Vicki fowler is a permanent return 🤨

So presumably “I shagged Grant” is the secret Barney overhears Sharon telling Zack.

Maybe he’ll tell Nicola who tries to blackmail Sharon.

But Sharon tells Nicola “If you tell Teddy about the shag, I’ll tell him Zack is Barney’s dad”

And we’ll have months of Sharon and Nicola hissing at each other “you’d betta keep yer maaaf shut..”

It’s so funny the way certain secrets are conveniently overheard and others remain implausibly hidden. Cindy and Junior were shagging in the Queen Vic loos and Beales Eels at every opportunity for months and no-one spotted or heard them😭

Ever since Eve n Suki got married you've hardly seen them together and now she's off again to Brighton ! Wasn't made clear if Suki is going too either !

Instead its a battle between the ex-wife he reunited with 2 weeks ago vs the ex-wife he reunited with 20 minutes before his death!

That ‘love’ scene with Sharon and Grarrrrrnt was painful. I am the same age as Sharon and if I had nearly died and just got out of hospital I would be on the floor.
I have to say sometimes TV shows get these things really wrong. If anyone has seen ‘Rivals’ Danny Dyer’s love scenes were great as in a lot more authentic.
When people are in crisis they can act out, but I think ripping off the leather jacket didn’t work.
Grant was Sharon’s first real love, I think they could have done something far more emotional. To sort of reflect 35 years of their history?

...although it was nice in a way to see - lets be charitable and say - 'normal' looking people 😐at it - we're surrounded by unobtainable societal beauty standards and to see a potato and a lot of hair extensions clutching at each other is different.

The scene in referring to in Rivals was actually very tender and vulnerable. Which was a shock from Danny Dyer indeed.
I am not saying everyone my age is the same - there are enough threads on here about mid life dating - but I think because they had such history, it might have been better written.
Poor old Jumper sitting there, wanting to treat Sharon like a princess and she was about to roll her leggings off for Mitchell Number one….
Do love Sharon though. Her commitment to the glam!
Watched an old episode on YouTube she must have been 21, helmet hair, a brown power suit, big brass earrings and then I remember lots of girls looked the same.
And going back earlier… poor Michelle and her yellow cardi. Bless her.

Danny Dyer and Katherine Parkinson in Rivals was everything - the slow build, the stolen glances, the thwarted liaisons ...and then finally... <fans self ineffectively> again, two people who look normal, mid life bodies - nothing too explicit, but in Rivals against the context of everyone (pretty people) shagging everyone.

I'm glad it 'doof-doofed' when it did!

I agree with the Rivals scene and it stayed true to the book.
I did laugh when Grant picked her up off the floor though - now that move did impress me…

My dh would have a hernia if he tried to pick me up ! lol.

I haven’t watched it yet. Thank heavens for this thread, I can’t cope with Shazza shagging Grunt, so going to swerve it. Probably. Maybe…
