The Emmy-award winning HBO original series, which offers an inside look at the powerful and wealthy as they navigate complex personal dynamics and face potentially dangerous experiences while on vacation, returns for its third season this month.

"Seeking peace can be a trip," reads the tagline for this season, which was created, written and directed by former "Survivor" contestant Mike White.
This time around, viewers will be whisked away to an "exclusive" resort in Thailand, where an eclectic group of guests and resort employees will play, and likely misbehave, over the span of a week. "The White Lotus" Season 3 guests include a wealthy businessman and his family, three longtime friends who haven't seen each other in a while on a girls' trip and "rugged man with a chip on his shoulder" and his girlfriend, among others.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Starts on Monday and will be shown on Now and Sky. No watching on demand as all episodes will be dropped weekly.

So then everyone at the resort would know about the Ratliff family downfall? (Actually I’m surprised they don’t already.)

I still feel it will have to be a big character who dies - someone whose journey (emotional, social, romantic, whatever) is at the centre of the story. Someone we both laugh at but feel empathy for. Doesn’t that put Tim at the head of the list?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2025 20:57

Yes sure the others have phones and see the daily news and haven’t sussed out it’s the dad

TheGlamour · 30/03/2025 21:02

Although - plot-wise, that may be why the staff made such a big thing of them all relinquishing their devices. So viewers wouldn’t say But it would be all over the internet!

Arrghhh don’t read the Telegraph review as it’s full of spoilers. I mean obviously it is but I couldn’t resist and now have to go to work when I want to sit down and watch it.

No, Tim doesn’t fit that description. He’s no Armond or Tanya. I think that’s another reason why this season pales in comparison to the previous two - there’s nobody to root for and have empathy with.

I'm still watching, but disappointed after the first two series. Maybe last two will hot up.

Obsessed!

Maybe that's what happens, Victoria realises where her pills have gone and shoots Tim!

Has anyone watched ep 7 yet? Again very slow, I was hoping for a bit more of a build up to the finale. I am worried about Laurie getting back to the hotel though.

curiositykilledthiscat · 31/03/2025 11:15

Another underwhelming episode, although it was good to see Laurie shagging Valentin. But will it be worth the $10K he’s now asking from her?

So bored with the Ratclife’s. I wish Tim would shoot them all and himself.

That wasn’t Valentin surely?

It was, yes. Shagging Laurie.

No, it was one of his friends. I knew as soon as they started talking after sex he was going to hit her up for money but it was still cringe.

I’m a bit tired so maybe didn’t watch properly but are you talking about an earlier episode?

Laurie shagged Alexi rather than Valentin - as far as I could tell, they do look alike though.

Penko25 · 31/03/2025 12:22

It wasn’t Valentin, it was his friend. I wasn’t keen on the latest episode. Saxon is definitely spiralling though.

TheGlamour · 31/03/2025 14:09

Right, I’m going in …

(Haven’t read posts on Ep 7 yet!)

TheGlamour · 31/03/2025 15:16

Excellent on all fronts!

(Though I hope Shritala’s DH is ok.)

So now it looks as if it might be Lochlan who stays and Piper who thinks again.

It’s surely going to be either family annihilation or The Russians slaughtering everyone at hand. Though Gaitok is being primed to exact some sort of revenge on Everyone Who Ever Doubted Him.

curiositykilledthiscat · 31/03/2025 19:20

That review nails it, especially about the uneventful stories. I remember how intrigued and invested I was in the stories in the second season of this, but with this series, I don’t care about anyone and what they get up to. Thanks for posting @TheGlamour

The awkwardness of the interactions are still there like with the previous seasons but without the extreme humour that accompanies it. The scene with the actress/fake producer was excruciating,

Thedownsideisup · 31/03/2025 19:38

I did feel bad for Laurie - she looked so smug about getting shagged until she got asked for money.

Yes he wasn't that subtle was he? She's too smart to pay that surely.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/03/2025 20:50

I am still watching but the last 3 episodes ive kept losing interest

sweetpickle2 · 31/03/2025 20:55

There had better be nothing but action in the last episode because what a slow burn!

Some good bits though, mainly the scenes between Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger. He’s a much better actor than his dad.

AlternativeView · 31/03/2025 21:53

I thought this one Is 10 episode's? that article suggests one more 🫣😰.
Surely not.
I find Jeremy Isaac so boring to watch and I just want to follow Rick and his mate around and gf..they interest me by far the most.id even watch a pre story of how they met ect.

Do we think Rick is rich?
