The White Lotus - series three - starts February 17th

The Emmy-award winning HBO original series, which offers an inside look at the powerful and wealthy as they navigate complex personal dynamics and face potentially dangerous experiences while on vacation, returns for its third season this month.

"Seeking peace can be a trip," reads the tagline for this season, which was created, written and directed by former "Survivor" contestant Mike White.
This time around, viewers will be whisked away to an "exclusive" resort in Thailand, where an eclectic group of guests and resort employees will play, and likely misbehave, over the span of a week. "The White Lotus" Season 3 guests include a wealthy businessman and his family, three longtime friends who haven't seen each other in a while on a girls' trip and "rugged man with a chip on his shoulder" and his girlfriend, among others.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Starts on Monday and will be shown on Now and Sky. No watching on demand as all episodes will be dropped weekly.

Im not normally a stickler and I love lack humour but I do think 'Dook' has a point about suicide being the second leading cause of death on college campuses and the WL has Timothy contemplating suicide with a gun to his head wearing a Duke logo t shirt.

I wonder where Mike White went to college ...

I dunno, I think it's a reach. Timothy would have been at uni decades ago. Wearing old college T-shirts is quite common, or at least quite common on TV. Men contemplating taking their own lives due to financial pressures is also quite common.
If it was someone who was currently a student in a uni T-shirt with a gun to their head, I'd kind of see their point – but I'd still eye-roll a bit, TBH.

I thought he was the obnoxious boy who just wanted to watch porn but then learned Hawaiian canoeing. But he isn't.

Walton goggins has beautiful eyes and is definitely one of the more interesting and attractive male characters in this.
I think the amazing therapy lady is going to suddenly appear at the house because she works for the hotel and will jar him out of whatever he's planned

I think the relationship with his gf is also genius.

I've just binged all three episodes and I agree!

I am impatient for the last two episodes and would not have liked to watch it weekly. I think I'll wait until I can watch bithe together.

Even though Jennifer C isn't physically in this one ,she is because the viewer thinks about her all the time,it's so clever!

I was also thinking…..If you go back to the opening scene it’s Belinda’s son running out of his mediation/ therapy session and clearly thinks it’s Gary shooting his Mum, which makes me think it won’t actually be that 😂

That's really interesting, I wondered why there wasn't more Enlightened ,it was a brilliant series.

It has promoted me to seek out his other shows.

Meanwhile, I’m wishing away this beautiful day …

Enlightened is one of my all time favourite TV shows. The ‘Consider Helen’ episode is probably one of the most beautifully realised and poignant episodes of TV I’ve ever seen.

I also liked a film from 2002 he wrote but didn’t direct, The Good Girl. It’s a shame you can’t stream that one.

Was that the film with Jennifer Aniston playing a small town checkout girl? I remember when it came out, there was a lot of talk around what a departure it was for her to play such a plain Jane character. She was pretty good in it, IIRC.

I saw a theory that Leslie Bibbs character and Victoria knowing each other might mean that LB becomes aware of the issues around Tim's company because she's been shown on the phone to someone back home and they probably would have heard rumours or maybe even something in the press and she spills the beans.
