Re feeling sorry for the players. I can find something in all of them to go 'aww' at at some point!
I'm really way too sensitive for The Traitors.
Unpopular opinion, but I actually now feel a little sorry for Charlotte (sorry 🫣)
I didn't want her to win (#TeamAlexander here!) but all the hate she's getting online (including on Mumsnet) is uncalled for and unpleasant. It was a game. They all wanted to win , and all came to the table with a different collection of life experiences, and we can't know their circumstances or backgrounds. We don't know the full story or the context.
With Charlotte, I absolutely didn't want her to win, mostly because I felt so sorry for Freddie. But, I can feel sorry for both of them! I'm also never pro Traitor. Buuut, I do get how the seer twist was massively frustrating and upsetting for her. She obviously really wanted to win. Maybe she desperately needed the money and thought it was her only chance? Who knows? I also didn't like her apparent lack of grace towards Frankie on that last round table. I was shocked by some of her comments. But, on reflection, I genuinely don't think her motivation was anything other than trying to win and deflect from herself. She was panicking I reckon, and probably hoped she still could persuade the others. She was put in a very difficult situation. She was too ruthless for me, all the good traitors are; but, she was playing the game to win, and the hate feels a bit like a witch hunt.
Re Leanne, again the edit. Though I confess she was the player I warmed to the least, I can't join in with the hate. It is just a game, and she might be very different in a different context.
Joe the same. Obviously he didn't win, so that's probably taken the pressure off.
Anyway, I choose to believe that in a parallel universe Alexander, Freddie and Lisa won together as faithfuls! 😊
