I am too. She played very well indeed.

And me too! I too think she was robbed as without the Seer twist she surely would have won, and imo deservedly so because it took great skill to play as she did. As someone else said, the Seer meant she was just taken out of the game. Although she fought hard, I don’t see how she could have survived, mainly because of Freddie’s vote, but also because there was no context for her suddenly accusing Frankie of being a traitor. 🤔

MichaelAndEagle · 24/01/2025 22:39

You'd have liked it if the only traitor left had more or less given up and the four remaining just nicely shared?

Well yes actually.

i like nice outcomes. So shoot me

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 24/01/2025 23:28

@NetZeroZealot

the key difference is that for a lot of reality series the public have a say in the end result. So what the edit shows changes things.

In Traitors, what the eventual edit shows has no impact on the final result. They could show us 18+ hours of eagles. owls and eyeliner and the cast will still make their minds up regardless of what we have been shown!

Traitors is more like a talent show like Bake Off where we see an edited version of a done deal but unlike Bake Off or Sewing Bee or Glow Up the final outcome is not based on professional opinion of expert judges. It's completely subjective and random.

IMO there isn't a lot of talent involved in Traitor because the twists mean any intuition or judgement (like that shown by Jake or Alex) can be outweighed by dumb luck with missions and shields.

I cannot believe I am so involved in this utter tripe I have written a post this long!!!

MichaelAndEagle · 24/01/2025 22:41

I just think Charlotte was trying her best to win.

But she must have known that her number was up even if Frankie was banished.

I think if they are gonna do a seer again next year they should put them in seperate rooms and keep the seer and the seer-ee a secret. Then it’s up to them if they spill

Coldanddamp · 24/01/2025 23:29

She hasn’t got a 100% London accent to me. She still sounds a bit Welsh.

Same

Her mum is Welsh which is why she was able to do it so easily.

They get other opportunities. Mollie from last year is on Dancing On Ice.
I think Diane made it onto a show.

Diane is going on Would I Lie To You apparently

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 24/01/2025 23:32

Discovered at the end I didn't want Jake to win - really wanted it to be Leanne and Frankie.

In reality I'd have liked to see more more team spirit. Ideally I'd have like Linda and Minah to get through to the end and then share - like nice traitors 🕵‍♀️🕵‍♀️❤️

Evidently i subconscious blame Jake for preventing my dream 🤣

She also did Celeb Sewing Bee I think.

Edit: not Sewing bee. Masterchef.

PinkArt · 24/01/2025 23:33

NetZeroZealot · 24/01/2025 23:08

That’s how all reality TV shows are put together though, surely?

This! Things like Love Island work at a much faster pace but they know for eg how a recoupling goes as the rest of the ep is cut, so whose conversations to include. It's equally true of other unscripted shows. They know how many years a Grand Design runs over by when they include that 'we want to be in by Christmas ' sound bite, or who's souffle doesn't rise of Bake Off when they show someone over whisking.
The edit might start before filming is finished, but filming is always over before the final lock in the edit.

Clafoutie · 24/01/2025 23:36

Lentilweaver · 24/01/2025 22:48

A lesson that being bolshy and shouty will get you far in life. People were too terrified to take Leanne on.

So true, that really protected Leanne, other people’s fear of her. And yet, ironically she came across as maybe the most insecure person there.

Catsandcheese · 24/01/2025 23:37

I was also a Charlotte fan throughout, and I am sorry the Seer thing happened to her. I think she may have slightly miscalculated about the shield with Leanne and throwing Freddie under the bus, but she played a very good game. To be fair, Freddie was continually being accused so I didn't think he was ever going to make it to the end, although he was very likeable.

It seemed a bit lame at the end when there were no traitors left.

Clafoutie · 24/01/2025 23:39

LindorDoubleChoc · 24/01/2025 22:58

@Clafoutie - I've never liked Frankie and have posted about her several times before. She's too sacharine for me, plays the I've got 4 children you know card too often, way too quick to tears when she's never had any real pressure on her, pretty hopeless in some of the tasks, and she didn't play a very intelligent game. Why she thought there was still another traitor after Charlotte left I'll never know! But maybe she didn't actually believe that and was just trying to oust one more faithful to get a bigger share of the prize? Those are my reasons for not being on her side.

Fair enough!

jumpintheline · 24/01/2025 23:40

Lentilweaver · 24/01/2025 22:56

Joe has got more praise than Minah on Uncloaked. Oddly.

I wondered if there was some damage limitation being done. Joe got slagged off a lot on twitter

ThatsNotMyTeen · 24/01/2025 23:40

I think the Seer thing did scupper Charlotte but I am ok with that as I really didn’t want her to win. I don’t think she’d have won anyway, I reckon she’d have been banished in the endgame

Choux · 24/01/2025 23:42

If Charlotte had recruited Jake and murdered Frankie it would have been quite easy for her and Jake to pick off Freddie and Alexander and then end the game leaving Leanne with nothing or banish her if Leanne wanted to end the game.

She chose Freddie to throw him under the bus at a time she should have been thinking about an alliance for the end game.

whaddayawannado · 24/01/2025 23:42

witchycat2 · 24/01/2025 21:59

I thought she was divorced, a single mum of four boys.

I think she's been married a few times. There were photos of her wedding on Insta, though not sure if she's still married

I continued to wear my wedding ring and called myself 'Mrs' for some years after my divorce. It felt a bit like some sort of security blanket and gave me a shield against unwanted attention.

TheDowagerCountessofPembroke · 24/01/2025 23:43

Wasn’t there someone on a previous thread saying that they had some kind of knowledge that meant they knew that Alexander had won.

Turmerictolly · 24/01/2025 23:49

I wonder if Alexander and Frankie will get it together. There was a spark I think.

CaveMum · 24/01/2025 23:49

Minah had more lovely mentions on the Bonus podcast.

Claudia had said there was one moment in the series that really affected her and made her cry - that Minah being banished. She said she felt like she was “her little girl”.

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 23:51

I love how emotionally involved Claudia gets. It makes such a difference when a host is a genuine fan of their show (like Davina on Big Brother)

Edited

I think that not only is there not a lot of talent; intelligence (real or in the case of Yin perhaps portrayed and perceived) is ganged up upon as a threat and removed, which is in itself poor gameplay. The smart move would be to keep someone useful for longer and then despatch them later on.

I also can't stand the ridiculousness of "why and I still here" and "close to" as reasoning.

I think Alexander was intelligent initially in his thinking but as it was ostracising him, he dumbed down.

I'm sorry I haven't kept up with the threads this year so not sure if it's been mentioned recently but last year we had quite a bit of chat mid series about how fascinating it would be if there was some sort of intelligence and common sense threshold for all players. It would be an amazing social experiment but would probably lack the drama to be "good tv".

Please let a Traitor win. But moving to that tomorrow. Will miss Claudia.

Och it’s not on till Monday 😢

Turmerictolly · 24/01/2025 23:54

I'll be watching the US one.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 24/01/2025 23:55

Am disappointed, Jake was ok but honestly only got Linda at the beginning and then continued to suspect the wrong people. Leanne actually seemed to make a point of believing traitors and suspecting faithfuls, being aggressively suspicious but taking offence if anyone dared to question her. And after all that, she lied to everyone throughout the whole thing. I feel like the school bully won.
Alexander deserved to win. I hope he does well out of this.
