the key difference is that for a lot of reality series the public have a say in the end result. So what the edit shows changes things.
In Traitors, what the eventual edit shows has no impact on the final result. They could show us 18+ hours of eagles. owls and eyeliner and the cast will still make their minds up regardless of what we have been shown!
Traitors is more like a talent show like Bake Off where we see an edited version of a done deal but unlike Bake Off or Sewing Bee or Glow Up the final outcome is not based on professional opinion of expert judges. It's completely subjective and random.
IMO there isn't a lot of talent involved in Traitor because the twists mean any intuition or judgement (like that shown by Jake or Alex) can be outweighed by dumb luck with missions and shields.
