In Traitors it's created differently. The producers film the round tables before the edit. Then they create the edit as a 'who-dunnit' full of clues and red herrings created to keep us guessing. They know everything we don't before they create an episode. Again we are guided/manipulated but it's a done deal months before we see it.

I've never watched it before but that makes sense. There is a lot of glances and comments that make you think someone is going to say X but then give a bit of a left field answer.

witchycat2 · 24/01/2025 23:04

I suppose Minah had her moment on Uncloaked when she was banished, doubt they would single out one past banished player on the final Uncloaked when they had a lot to get through. The finalists had less time individually tonight than the previous players did on their episodes.

I was disappointed Leanne won, I didn’t like her. Pleased for the Jake though. It’s such a small prize fund, it’d not be too exciting split between 4. I wanted Alexander to be a winner.

Karmaisagod · 24/01/2025 23:01

Alexander's education and class exposed Leanne's utter lack of both - she is not stupid and was aware of this, perhaps subconsciously, and resented him for it. The gentler and more polite he was, the more it riled her.

Apparently Alexander can stand to make £500k this year - from some PR guru, Minah and Linda £250k ish.

I agree with this entirely, Leanne was outclassed and pissed off by it, Alexander probably reminded her of an officer she had had to work with (who she hated).

Coldanddamp · 24/01/2025 23:05

And it's why I could never do it, I'm not good at things that's aren't fair!

I'd be leaving the round table ffing & jeffing & would never want to be around someone who betrayed me again. Not that game for me!

That's a really good guess!

When Leanne voted for Alexander at the fire pit & then he did the same & she was sarky. How can't you not have any self awareness 😆😆

I can vote for you but you can never vote for me 😂

CloseYourRingStress · 24/01/2025 23:08

I can't see the post now re Frankie playing the 'just doing it for my boys' card. She owns a really high end interior design firm that focuses on stately homes. It wore a bit thin with me.

There was an interesting article in The Times a few weeks ago about how The Traitors is made differently from other reality shows.

In most shows the public sees an edited version of recent events and decides who to vote in or out based on what the producers show us. We are being guided/manipulated.

In Traitors it's created differently. The producers film the round tables before the edit. Then they create the edit as a 'who-dunnit' full of clues and red herrings created to keep us guessing. They know everything we don't before they create an episode. Again we are guided/manipulated but it's a done deal months before we see it.

Knowing that has made me less keen on future series. I like spotting tells and indicators. Knowing that other minds (probably greatly superior to mine, possibly even Martian) have overviewed the whole story from many, many viewpoints before deciding what to let me see sucks a lot of the fun out of it for me. I might as well watch Midsummer Murders.

That’s how all reality TV shows are put together though, surely?

Choux · 24/01/2025 23:08

Leanne maxed her chances of winning by getting herself in two alliances. She had her mum alliance with Frankie and her 'clearly faithful' alliance with Jake. I think she told both of them that Alex would have to be voted out first and then the other person so Leanne and the alliance would win.

So Frankie voted out Alexander to keep up her side of the mum alliance. Otherwise there would have been a deadlock with A and F voting for one of L and J and L and J voting for A. But then, when there were three of them left, Leanne followed her 'clearly faithful' alliance instead. I think Leanne's heart wanted to win with Frankie but her head told her to choose 'clearly faithful' Jake.

fairydust11 · 24/01/2025 23:09

I’m glad Charlotte didn’t win, had she kept Freddie & Minah she would’ve done, but she became too greedy and ended up with nothing.

I’m happy Jake won, he seemed like a decent guy - it’s a real shame Frankie & Alexander didn’t win alongside him.

Leanne didn’t deserve to win in my opinion, she didn’t come across well at all, I’m really not sure how she made it so far…there’s now two ex army winners in two years.

NeedToKnow101 · 24/01/2025 23:10

EdithBond · 24/01/2025 22:39

Is it just me or is Charlotte’s real accent not that different?

She hasn’t got a 100% London accent to me. She still sounds a bit Welsh.

Not just you. I never thought she sounded particularly Welsh tbh

Arcadia · 24/01/2025 23:11

I think there needs to be a change at the end whereby if you l're a faithful and vote for another Faithful you're out, but you can choose to abstain.

Rosesgrowonyou · 24/01/2025 23:12

The game isn't fair though. Surely that's the point.

SleepyRooster · 24/01/2025 23:14

Leanne can't have been a very soldier. Sorry. Total flake. Just all over the shop

MichaelAndEagle · 24/01/2025 23:15

Hmmm I don't know. I think Minah would have double crossed her.
I don't think you'll ever get traitors sharing. Too risky.

Clafoutie · 24/01/2025 23:16

CaveMum · 24/01/2025 22:44

I think it was just a case of not being able to be certain who was lying between Charlotte and Frankie. Safer to get rid of both of them.

Yes, I agree. I think if there is even the tiniest doubt at that stage you are not going to risk it and will vote to banish. That’s why, in the end, the two with the least amount of doubt around them were obviously going to win. I think that aspect did make the ending a bit of a let-down as it became a bit obvious.

Catsandcheese · 24/01/2025 23:16

To be honest I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I didn't want Leanne to win at all, but I am ok with Jake winning. I feel like Seer twist got Charlotte out rather than the faithfuls, which was a bit sad. It is like she was taken out by the game itself rather than the players.
However they all seemed fine with it, Leanne got her prize money, . I will look forward to the next series.

But it was Frankie who was insisting to Leanne that the two blokes were traitors and they together needed to vote them both out.

To me Frankie started to look like a traitor towards the end and I'd definitely would have voted her out.

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 24/01/2025 23:21

Poor Alexander.

I have not been a fan of Charlotte throughout but Frankie cornering her in the kitchen and making that emotional plea ‘why do you want to win this so badly?’ should have been an auto banishment on the spot for being such a dickhead! Fine, Leanne and Frankie have children and Leanne has had a horrible time of it, but why is that Charlotte’s responsibility to give up the potential of winning nearly £100,000? Wanker.

I did like how Frankie took her on at the roundtable later though, and I LOVED her red dress. 🔥

Sorry, also separately, did Ed Gamble look a bit out of sorts this evening? I can't work out in which way, but not his usual self as per previous episodes.

I thought this too. Apart from when he was talking to Claudia, he seemed to be going through the motions. He didn't seem to be interested, and completely cut Leanne off at the end. Mind you, I don't blame him for that as I find her quite an unpleasant character compared to the others.

Joe was lovely in Uncloaked, alongside Minah. It was my favourite Uncloaked episode.

Yes I thought he came across well.

Oti seemed to fan girl Minah!

I think Charlotte only lost because of the seer thing. Without that I think she'd have remained out of discussions and got to the end.

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 23:26

witchycat2 · 24/01/2025 22:39

She was annoyed Frankie blew her chances so she wanted to take Frankie down with her.

I could understand throwing another traitor under the bus but to go that far to get a known faithful out knowing they could win is just mean

Yes!! I kept saying she sounds no different
