Thanks 👍

I wonder if Ruby will realise creepy grandad is tutoring Angel and that will push her into speaking out? I find abuse storylines very upsetting so I hope the writers give him his come uppance.

Middlemarch123 · 15/01/2025 20:15

Thanks for the shiny new thread @TellingBone , great title.

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 15/01/2025 20:26

Why won't Ruby just tell Caleb what happened?

Why won't Ruby just tell Caleb what happened?

I'm wondering this too. Why would she just move out when she's done nothing wrong. Hope it comes to a head soon and doesn't drag on like Belle and Tom.

Moping Marlon with pneumonia now ' that's all we need.

Why won't Ruby just tell Caleb what happened?

Perhaps because it’s hard for her to articulate, she was abused by her dad, and will feel guilt and shame. He’s damaged her mentally. I think it’s understandable, the way she’s reacted. I just want Cain to finish him off.

Jitterybugs2 · 15/01/2025 21:01

Thanks for the new thread TellingBone

GrandTheftWalrus · 15/01/2025 21:08

Yeah I don't think she could just blurt out that the father is her dad.

bizzey · 15/01/2025 21:38

As a victim, Ruby will be feeling that it is all her fault I suppose 😕.

bizzey · 15/01/2025 21:42

Thanks for new thread @TellingBone .

JewelleryCat · 15/01/2025 22:19

Thanks for the new thread 🙂

I think Ruby is staying silent to protect Steph. They've had such a volatile relationship she won't want to ruin that, and maybe Steph will think how she came about is why her mum sent her away.

familyissues12345 · 16/01/2025 09:39

I agree 2025, I think she's keeping quiet to protect Steph.

I hope he gets his comeuppance soon though, can't stand him!

TheFormidableMrsC · 16/01/2025 10:12

Just checking in!

2025willbemytime · 16/01/2025 12:30

I just saw a spoiler. It's so frustrating as it was on a news site. I won't say anything but I think we'll all be happy. Apologies if that is too much and I'll get it removed.

RaraRachael · 16/01/2025 12:52

I think it's the same spoiler I've seen. It's almost impossible to avoid them sadly.

2025willbemytime · 16/01/2025 12:55

Thanks @RaraRachael. I try so hard to avoid them which is why I like this thread but as you say, it is hard.

RaraRachael · 16/01/2025 12:59

Even at the supermarket checkout you see them blaring out from magazine headlines 🙄

strugglingwithlife · 16/01/2025 13:20

Thanks for the new thread. Watching tonight's now. Chas is on the ball

Spoilers don't overly bother me, but you're right, they're everywhere!

BooseysMom · 16/01/2025 14:57

Thank you. Just me checking in too 😃

Oioisavaloy27 · 16/01/2025 15:11

I think it's the creepy grandad that ends up rolled up in the carpet!

Ooh I wonder if Cain and Caleb get together to get rid of creepy granddad and Caleb gets injured and that's how he ends up in hospital.

I watched it as well. I thought it a very good episode and that’s all I’ll say

JadeSeahorse · 16/01/2025 17:01

I really disliked Ruby at first but now my heart aches for her.

Yes I know it's only a TV programme but I bet this storyline - not necessarily leading to pregnancy - is hitting home for many people.😥
