I tend to agree Scutterbug Her youthfulness did make it seem more hard-hitting and she played the vulnerable teen part well, I thought

April isn't a disadvantaged teen though and this story was just whipped up out of nowhere.

Yep @JaneJeffer exactly this...she has been a pretty much quiet/sensible character and even a bit timid up to now and isn't disadvantaged at all....now she is a teenage rebel drinking/pregnancy/in a squat...the story came out of the blue it doesn't fly with the character she has been up to now...

I know jeez it is bad hey😏...Rhona should have refused to say that line...I do think the Rhona and Marlon actors should go as they seem to be culling people on the show ....they aren't interesting/engaging characters any longer.

They have both had a very good run on the show but are stale...Marlon I cringe when i see him he is awful and Rhona is not much better.

I don't think Cain will ever leave so Rhona is unlikely to get the chop (real life married as we know) and if anyone in that soap has any sway it must surely be Cain actor. Also if Rhona left we'd be given a new vet. Better the devil we know?

Mmm yes, I see what you mean. It's out of character for her and it's like the writer tried to fit as much awful shite into the story line as possible!!

I'm not sure we can say April isn't disadvantaged. I don't think Marlon was in her life initially? Then he was, her mum died, Marlon's been married how many times? Several different step mums, lost heath in a tragic accident (I can't be bothered to work out how they're related), step mum 'kidnapped' a baby, april got kidnapped, has a sibling with send which means she's a sibling carer.

Not to mention she's just found out her mum killed herself.

Are Cathy and dear departed Heath cousins of April because Bob is Aprils grandad?
