They don’t seem as obsessed with the money compared to previous years.

No they don't do they. I can't remember how much is in the prize pot at this point.

I think minah should draw attention to the painting. That will take the heat off the theory of her handing someone her wine glass. And also no one would think a traitor would 'discover' a clue. And Linda wrote on the painting so her handwriting won't be recognisable.

JaneJeffer · 16/01/2025 14:54

Why does Apple not recognise Welsh as a word? Confused

Is it's still there she definitely should

Even though Linda was terrible at being a traitor, I’ll be really sad to see her go as at lest she was entertaining. I think Minah will go soon and then I can’t think of anyone particularly interesting to watch. Lisa is such a wasted contestant , so dull and doesn’t add anything to the show at all. And, because of this, she’ll probably be there until the end.

Yes I was just thinking it will be less interesting without Linda and Fozia for that matter. Hopefully the others will come out of their shell bit more.

It won't be long until we're on to thread 6. Any suggestions for the next title?

The Traitors #6 - Sassy or Stroppy
Grin

By the way, has anyone else noticed that stag's head on the wall in the castle with the long black fringe over its eyes?

JandamiHash · 16/01/2025 00:10

Just finished watching

Thank god Linda went

If Minah had brains she’d recruit Jake. Someone she could take to the end who would probably be happy to share the money

I don't think Jake would be happy to share the money at all.

Yes! 😂

I agree with the pp who said that if Charlotte spoke in her real (posh English) accent she may have been targeted sooner.

I'm not sure. The actual Welsh person was banished very quickly.

If I was Welsh I would find it offensive

I think she said in the beginning that her mum's Welsh. So she's half Welsh, and so it's not totally random, and maybe makes it less offensive? But, she created work for herself. I wonder if it was a way to get the gig? The producers probably thought it'd make things more interesting, so she did it to stand out at the application?

witchycat2 · 16/01/2025 15:17

If she had put on an Indian accent (for example) everyone would be say it's offensive. Faking an accent just seems a very odd thing to do.

She'd need to be pretty confident in her acting skills, not sure I would risk it in case it came across as too obvious I knew it was there. Think the risk outweighs any gain

witchycat2 · 16/01/2025 15:35

You'd think someone would notice the painting, if it is still there.

Yes you'd imagine more discussion of what recruitment in plain sight meant. Maybe that will happen in the episode tonight?

Something has been bugging me and I don't think it's been discussed here (sorry if I missed it). At the deathmatch when it's Alexander's turn in round 2, you clearly see a shot of Fozia holding the life card in her right hand. Alexander then clearly says he wants the card in Fozia's left hand ("your left card"). Then they reveal cards and Alexander has the life card! So was the just bad editing (a shot of Fozia from the first round of the game) or some production interference? I know it's irrelevant now as the game has moved on, but it's been bugging me all week!

I was trying to work that out at the time, but of course he could have meant "My left" and been pointing to it.

My worry was that the other players might have been able to see the cards reflected in her glasses. I certainly wouldn't have been holding them up like that!

witchycat2 · 16/01/2025 15:40

Anna said on socials that they couldn't see any reflections in Fozia'a glasses as it was too dark

Yes, for a white British person to put on an Indian accent would obviously be extremely offensive.
With Charlotte, her mum being Welsh, and her having presumably grown up with the Welsh accent in her childhood home, does possibly make it slightly less offensive than if it was totally random? But, I agree that it was an odd thing to do! Mostly for her own sake, it was just more stress surely?
I reckon it might have been to give her a selling point when she applied?

I think they're fixated on how it happened in previous series (the traitors had to physically do something like kiss or hand a drink). It won't cross their minds that it was something that didn't require physical interaction between the traitors and the murdered candidates

witchycat2 · 16/01/2025 15:44

All the 'secrets' this series have been boring

Lisa being a priest - no one cared
Charlotte's accent - dull and weird
Leanne's job - maybe a bit of a surprise to the others but it won't provoke the reactions they had last year when Ross revealed he was Diane's son.

ViolinsPlayGentlyOn · 16/01/2025 15:46

I’d like to think Frankie’s hiding a really good secret, but I doubt it.

witchycat2 · 16/01/2025 15:47

Amanda from series 1 and chris mccausland are on Uncloaked tonight. Should be a good episode.
