Love Imy’s!

SoupDragon · 26/01/2025 20:47

Steve's are great. My favourite so far

TinyMouseTheatre · 26/01/2025 20:47

She adds gold luster on her stuff too, I asked for some for Xmas, at over 100€ for 2.5g I haven't even dared to use any yet

You need to pluck up the courage. I bet it will look amazing Wink

Wolfcub · 26/01/2025 20:47

Steve has done a great job

viques · 26/01/2025 20:47

I thought Imys lids were too heavy looking for the pot. I wonder why they all chose feathers, I think sticks, twigs and leaves would have been better combustibles for insects. If sticks leaves and twigs would work that is…..

I worked out it costs me about 5€ to make a bog standard cup in my garage, that's without counting my time.

Does that include firing?

DD had a go at pot throwing at Wedgwood and it turns out she's actually pretty good for a novice. She's just asked for a wheel...

5€ is literally just the materials and electricity (not taking into account kiln wear and tear etc.).

For a first wheel I'd say avoid anything on Amazon. She'd be better of getting a decent second hand one (£300ish), or looking into Small Wheel Ceramics who make their own mini wheel in the UK (£200ish).

I think Steven might have been saved by the lightbulb woman ( whose name nobody seems to know)

SereneFish · 26/01/2025 20:50

Steve for POTW and Hayley to go for me. Great week.

Thanks for that @AlicePottery. I will send her some links Flowers

SoupDragon · 26/01/2025 20:52

My guess is Steve or Natalie for POTW.

Not sure who to go home... the ones I liked the least were Diane's but Imy or Short Beardy Guy (is he Stephen?) I think.

AnneElliotfanclub · 26/01/2025 20:52

Not one of the better weeks. None of the pots are particularly attractive although I appreciate the hard work that has gone into them.

Ellmau · 26/01/2025 20:52

I'm surprised no one did a dragonfly, that would have looked good with the shiny finish.

Piggywaspushed · 26/01/2025 20:53

Imi did, I thought.

My current excuse is that I need to buy a respirator as its very toxic apparently. Its half term in 3 weeks so I'll hopefully be brave enough by then 😅😅

It's very close this year. Apart from James and Steve.

elgreco · 26/01/2025 20:53

It's closer this week for winner/ leaver.

I think so too.

SoupDragon · 26/01/2025 20:55

Hayley's are ugly

SoupDragon · 26/01/2025 20:57

I think I agree having seen Hayley's again at the end there.

Love Imy’s!

I feel the judges are always so hard on her.

TokyoSushi · 26/01/2025 20:58

Oh next week's looks nice.

TinyMouseTheatre · 26/01/2025 20:58

Oh wow @AlicePottery that looks such a lovely thing to do. Unfortunately I'm am, and always have been beyond hopeless at throwing.

I've given you a follow. I do have one complaint though, you only have 21 posts!

HeadNorth · 26/01/2025 20:58

Poor Stephen, no emotional support Hayley, surely he will be out next week.

AlicePottery · 26/01/2025 20:58

Next week doesn't look great, very déjà-vu.
