Loved James's and I do think it was the best despite the handle. BUT did anyone else notice that Steve's still had all the pencil guide marks on after the final firing? I don't think that this was intentional and could have lost him marks although it was never mentioned!
Also, and I might have missed this, Steve wasn't interviewed at the end only James and Natalie??

I think he was briefly interviewed, because I remember hearing him say it would have been nice to have won!

I think james was the best though out the series but steve should have won the final. A whole handle broke off James's!
Didn't like Natalie's at all. Very messy.

How can you win with a broken pot.Try going to an antique shop and selling them one with a broken handle they would laugh you out of the shop. Biggest robbery since Mat brinks

Thing is with throwdown or bake off you don’t need to be the winner to go on and be successful after. If James was runner up he would still be able to do that as will. If it’s about TV they will not just look at winning but how you come across on TV

Just watched. Crying of course. Lovely stuff.

Steve was robbed.

I am so upset for Steve. He should definitely have won … how could they choose James broken pot over Steve’s? It’s a complete shambles.

You can't win with a broken handle.

Sadly he did … how on earth did that happen?! So sad for Steve.

AuntAgathaGregson · 10/03/2025 23:56

I didn't really like James' pot irrespective of the broken handle. I just don't see any point in having lumps of clay pretending to be popcorn. But overall I tended to like his stuff most throughout the series.

Also the space ship sticking out of it, completely ruining the lines of the amphora.

SereneFish · 11/03/2025 07:32

I'm not upset James won because he was the best potter, but I did feel for Steve. Natalie's amphora was a mess, don't know what she was thinking.
