Anyone watching?

James's was incredible, but I didn't really get the cardboard theme. Very talented though

Ah! Look at how excited Keith is in his waistcoat he's like a wee boy ok his first day at school

I always think he has a look of Percy the Park Keeper, I say this in the nicest possible way because he is lovely!!

Jaapssthia · 02/03/2025 23:48

James didn’t really fulfil the brief, good as it was. I much preferred Steve’s fireplace. Diana was very gracious.

stilldumdedumming · 03/03/2025 11:33

Thank you strong and northern. Yes very nice and functional too!

Breathmiller · 04/03/2025 15:33

Just caught up. I had completely forgotten what day it was so missed it. Only remembered when I came on here and saw a post starting with "James didn't..." so between that and how it was being received by the judges while he was making it, I presumed he was out. But, what a turn about!

I do get some people saying it didn't fulfill the remit but I think it did. It tapped in to perhaps a childhood type fear of something as innocous and fun as a cardboard tower turning in to a monster in your nightmares that would eat you. I think it was a really clever and very well executed take on the remit. He thought outside the box, so to speak.

I thought that Steve's was a really good version and more in line what we think it should look like and Nathalie made me laugh that she didn't do scary, shes much more a "sparkle and shine" kind of gal and I loved she found her (slightly cute) scary. Shame the bits fell off.

Gutted to see Diana go, I think she is fab, both in the work she does and her herself but I think it was the right decision to have the other 3 in the final. I loved that she could laugh (as well as cry) and when she said that her hell should have been called grey and pink. 😅. There was a time a few weeks ago that I thought maybe she would be in the final but I think she was pipped at the post by the other 3.

I can't call the winner now actually. They all would be very deserving and have had times when they are on top and times when they have not quite done it. So, it could be anyone's game I think.

Evening all

Evening!

Hello.

AlicePottery · 09/03/2025 21:03

Team James here, indeed like he's been way ahead of the others right from the start.

Evening all, forgot about crufts

Tablefor4 · 09/03/2025 21:06

OK. Watching in real time for once. Love all three of these, so let's see

stilldumdedumming · 09/03/2025 21:07

Evening! Not sure I mind too much who wins. I think I like Steve.

Tablefor4 · 09/03/2025 21:07

7.5 hours. At last, a semi-decent amount of time

stilldumdedumming · 09/03/2025 21:09

James' design- No!

LillyPJ · 09/03/2025 21:11

I'm not inspired by the task. Amphora seem a bit unambitious compared to the toilets/fountains etc of the past.

AlicePottery · 09/03/2025 21:12

Huh, the only design I actually like is Steve's.

OP posts:
LillyPJ · 09/03/2025 21:13

Also, I'm a bit tired of them being asked to design something that tells us about themselves!

Fatloss · 09/03/2025 21:13

Crying already

I don't know. At least people will have done vases etc before, if not amphoras, when they almost certainly not have done toilets

TokyoSushi · 09/03/2025 21:17

Checking in, tricky to say who will win, probably Steve or James, although I like them all!

Fatloss · 09/03/2025 21:17

I’m not keen on the family bits so nice that it’s just a short segment each.

Tablefor4 · 09/03/2025 21:20

Oh. I like Natalie's twisted handles

Wolfcub · 09/03/2025 21:21

Wow even 7.5 hours doesn't seem to have been enough

Turophilic · 09/03/2025 21:21

I'm worried about the thickness of some of Nat's stuff.

stilldumdedumming · 09/03/2025 21:22

@LillyPJ agreed. Having to pretend their sibling alien interest is important to them.
