Plus if so rich why did they use local hospital when their baby was prem

And not private hospital wing

Why didn’t Miles get arrested with the same “abduction” charge, only Pete? It’s a stupid charge anyway, no one was abducted

crumblingschools · 06/01/2025 22:06

@JewelleryCat DH and I said exactly the same thing

Yes both dads should have been charged

Grim as the NHS is at the moment, it’s still your best bet in a life/death situation

Know full well from current experience. Husband is booked in for critical surgery in late January. In and out since October. A and E is just fucking awful. First wait for bed, 27 hours (with sepsis). Second wait, 54 hours - again, sepsis - arthritis in his spine as an aside.imagine that, sitting in a hard, plastic chair. He was literally in the waiting room with IV antibiotics and fluids. Third admission, 60 hour wait for bed. He was in for 2.5 weeks.

however. Once he was on wards, the care was exemplary. He has his pre-op on 17th and life saving surgery a week later.

Private is fine but if you need life saving surgery, NHS teaching hospitals are still the best bet.

It doesn’t make any sense at all. Nobody was abducted. They just took home their baby, or the baby they were told was theirs.

LegoTherapy · 06/01/2025 22:19

Stick it out. I've just finished and it was good.
Too close to home for me in many ways with my ex but it's worth watching the rest.

sorechalfonts · 06/01/2025 22:21

It’s one of the worst things I have ever watched. Terrible script and acting just such a waste of time. I am niggly with myself for watching it

rainzen · 06/01/2025 22:27

Awful. I was really looking forward to it too!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/01/2025 22:36

Wasn’t it awful? No idea why we watched all 4, we wouldn’t normally bother once we established what dross it was. There’s drama and there’s completely unbelievable nonsense. This was the latter.

MabelMora · 06/01/2025 23:22

I'm quite enjoying it, but I keep seeing Tommy Lee Royce and expecting him to go full psycho on Miles!

SabreIsMyFave · 06/01/2025 23:25

I thought it was really good. Why are people so quit to just dismiss dramas these days, as shit, nonsense, rubbish, drivel, crap etc etc........? Same with Missing You that was on last week on Netflix. So many people just slated it and said it was shit.

So many people are jumping on and poo-pooing so many dramas lately. (Often within half an episode.) I really don't know what some people want. Confused Just take them for what they are... Fictional TV Dramas. It's not that deep...

LegoTherapy · 07/01/2025 06:48

@MabelMora me too. Happy Valley was so powerful that it's hard to see him as nice. Although in Grantchester he was the perfect antidote to Tommy.

purpleme12 · 07/01/2025 07:03

I only know James Norton from Nowhere Special

LegoTherapy · 07/01/2025 07:26

@SabreIsMyFave I agree that people are very critical of most tv now. I like to just enjoy things at face value. I ignore holes because it's not real life and it's entertainment.

Edited

Exactly what I thought - he would've murdered him by now!

I just thought it was boring! Very predictable.

That's such a lovely film, one of my favourites, although not the cheeriest obviously. JN was fantastic in it.

I thought this episode was slightly better. It felt a bit slow moving at first but picked up. Miles's interfering is so out of control, I can't help wondering if he has influenced everything right from the day the babies were born. Could he have even bribed someone to fix the DNA results and the babies weren't swapped at all? I agree they look more like their alleged real parents, but that could just be lazy casting (consider Rooster in Top Gun 2 - there's no way he could have had brown hair and brown eyes unless Mav and Goose were such good friends they shared literally everything...) I notice Pete has quite fair eyebrows, he was probably fair as a kid too.

Nice to know who the drugs were really for.
