Plus if so rich why did they use local hospital when their baby was prem
And not private hospital wing
Grim as the NHS is at the moment, it’s still your best bet in a life/death situation
Know full well from current experience. Husband is booked in for critical surgery in late January. In and out since October. A and E is just fucking awful. First wait for bed, 27 hours (with sepsis). Second wait, 54 hours - again, sepsis - arthritis in his spine as an aside.imagine that, sitting in a hard, plastic chair. He was literally in the waiting room with IV antibiotics and fluids. Third admission, 60 hour wait for bed. He was in for 2.5 weeks.
however. Once he was on wards, the care was exemplary. He has his pre-op on 17th and life saving surgery a week later.
Private is fine but if you need life saving surgery, NHS teaching hospitals are still the best bet.
