It was nice that the baddie got what he deserved. But hugely unlikely that he would have lost out in that struggle given his strength. Why didn’t Maddie call police?

Definitely going to be a series 2 where Miles comes back to have his revenge cos we never saw a body and it was never explicitly said that they'd found a body and it's as plausible as a storyline as any of the rest of it. Miles stalky revenge.

Thought David looked like Nicola Sturgeon in that final episode, have deleted it from my box so can't take a photo.

Lucy was also Charlotte in the excellent Harlots.

It's TV. Never underestimate the imagination of script writers.

So the court never questioned where Miles was the next day but presumably made a decision without him there . We were left up in the air afterwards as to who had Theo and David as they were all playing happy families together . Oh , and Lucy got away with murder !

It was ok, just. Some bits implausible, like Theo being excluded from nursery for one hit. And at times the plot slow.

And why didn't maddie report the murder? to finally get rid of Lucy, the woman who was complicit in all this. It was Lucy who originally switched. Yes David was the one that drove it all over the last 3 months. But as a couple they've caused maddie real stress, made her question her own sanity, she could've lost Theo completely. But let's forgive, forget all that and be friends. Oh purlease.

Or maybe I just can't forgive maddie for being with Pete at all, who is such a wet blanket of a character.

Despite being a successful restaurant owner and chef.

Because they needed that climactic last struggle for life. Also, why did the police swallow Lucy’s version? IRL they would have got suspicious, tracked his last movements, checked mobile phone data etc and the story would have unravelled.

Same reason the police were fucking ridiculous the entire series. Why investigate Pete but not Miles full stop?

I wasn’t sure how Maddie was able to track Lucy and David to the cliff top on her phone?
At the end where Maddie and Pete were standing on the beach in the shallows, their feet looked very cold and red. In virtually the whole series they looked bloody freezing.
Beautiful scenery though.
