So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

So many of the characters are just so unlikeable at the moment - I'm talking to you Kit, Betsy, Lauren. I just hope they all get killed in another tram crash.

The Lauren story line is so boring. And I can’t believe someone Max’s age would be so wrapped up in her life. His concern for Frankie? another man’s child? Just too unbelievable.

Can’t stand Betsy or her Mum. They make me long for scenes with Micheal and Dad Bailey in.

I do like Kit though - at least he can act, and he plays the ‘bad cop’ role very well.

I don't watch crime things, and Corrie is becoming a crime show. I have seen the spoiler. I would prefer to lose a lot of dull characters. That never happens. Just boredom and misery and crime.

I will ask them!

Why does Lauren never sit on a chair properly? She always has her knees pulled up and her shoes on the chair.

Agree with all those posts from @WhatATimeToBeAlive @eggandonion and @AmusedMaker I have also had enough of all the 'gritty,' crime-drama type storylines on Corrie now. It has always had light hearted and funny moments, and endearing characters. It has none of ANY of that now!

Also think a child like Max getting so involved with Lauren and her baby (and even thinking of going to jail for her, for killing Joel,) is a dumb storyline. What is he, like 17...?

If someone picked Roy’s for a romantic meal for our first NY’s Eve I’d leave them! There is absolutely no chemistry between them anyway, they’re painful to watch.

Are Cassie and Ken going to end up together? Obviously we know why she’s for it.

Carla suddenly being gay is just yet another typical ridiculous storyline.

However dull your NYE was can't have been as bad as in the Rovers when half a dozen randoms turned up and pretended to have fun.

Blink and you would have missed Nina in the pub 🙄 as of late she's become nothing much more than one of the extras but they give her maybe one or two lines to say. It's all a bit sad now.

I agree. I hate this storyline. And it's not that I am homophobic, I was never bothered about Sophie, when she came out, and have never been bothered about Sean either, or Billy and Paul. I think it's because 1) she has ALWAYS been attracted to men, and 2) I don't like Swain and think she is a dull and expressionless character.

I have known women 'come out' at around 50 or even older, but they have not been in and out of multiple relationships with men. They were either pretty much single up to then (maybe dated several men in the past,) OR they were married for many years, and then came out when they divorced. (They got married because they thought they should. Men/gay men have done similar.)

Carla (IMHO) would not suddenly come out as gay at 50, and as many posters have said, they should have left her and Swain as good friends.

I haven't watched last night's yet as I only just got up! (I'm not lazy I swear, 😆 was out til 1.00am and didn't go to bed til 2.00am!) So I will catch it later!

@TellingBone Has Aadi being replaced? Awww. I liked the old one. He seems cute and nerdy!

I hope aadi has just had a haircut. I didn't like the older woman thing. Luckily that fizzled out.
Dhs colleagues wife came out after they divorced. She and her husband seemed to have a fabulous life together, it was a shock. But I think Carla would drop swain if Peter came back.

The possibility of Peter coming back is the reason I still watch!
