So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

I don't think it's always the case that the feelings have always been there with women. With men I think it's much more likely to be the case that they're born with their preferences and often try to hide them, hence having relationships with women and having children etc. Maybe not so much now as it's more "acceptable" to be gay, but certainly in the past.

Women I feel are more likely to fall in love with someone of the same sex, without any prior attraction to other women. They're far more affectionate/open to other females for a start, so I can see how boundaries could get blurred. There are many women these days who openly admit to having drunken snogs with other women for example, not so much men with other men.

It may only be me but am sure I've seen Ken give a few knowing looks when Cassie's left the room. Or were those lustful looks? 😏😱

Yes I think probably wistful/affectionate? I admire Bill Roache for still acting at his age, but he has never been the most 'expressive' actor.

@CellophaneFlower I agree that was the case in the past, but much less likely now though unless there is a cultural or religious reason.

I have a feeling you said similar about Carla a while ago @SabreIsMyFave I meant to reply at the time. But Corrie don't get much right nowadays (IMO anyway!)

@bizzey google says Eileen Derbyshire is 93, and I guess Emily is similar. I listened to one of Jack P Shepherd's podcasts and he mentioned that Eileen D took what was supposed to be a break, then decided "that's it" and never returned!

Emily spent a lot of time in Peru (?) I think, doing charity stuff.

Loads of the characters would know her, Rita, Sally, Kevin, Ken, Tracy, Jenny, Roy, Tyrone, fizz, kirk, Maria etc, etc. Most of the cast I think tbf!

No one cares about a character we've never seen before, so sick of the Lisa, mason and his brothers storyline !
