Awww dani but did you love it as much as doing the great British menu??

ilovesooty · 28/11/2024 20:57

That's a shame. Michael is lucky to be there.

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 28/11/2024 20:58

Fair.

Gaston, Fester, William. My prediction.
Oh shit.... I mean Michael, Ciara and Welsh Bloke.

Sunbird24 · 28/11/2024 21:00

Probably not here Monday but sure I’ll catch up at some point! Off to find something to tie round my head a la Gaston…

RomainingToBeSeen · 28/11/2024 21:01

Back Monday! Shame to see Dani go but probably right.

lettingthedaysgoby · 28/11/2024 21:15

See you Monday!

Place marking for Monday. Thanks for the thread.

I had a thought.

So they have all had to come up with their drink based dish. Presumably they’ve had a couple of days to do this. This means the person who has gone through has spent an age working on a meal that they won’t get to cook. Not only that but what about the ingredients? Do they buy them or the production team?

WinterCrow · 28/11/2024 22:46

I want Rod Stewart to fight Gregg Wallace down the precinct.

murasaki · 28/11/2024 23:09

WinterCrow · 28/11/2024 22:46

I want Rod Stewart to fight Gregg Wallace down the precinct.

And I want Penny to arrest Gregggggg afterwards.

EmotionalSupportBiscuit · 29/11/2024 07:22

Do they do the pairing up round on Profs?

Part of me wants Gaston and Chiara together but I think the delicate fabric of the universe would be rent asunder by the crazy

Michael and his ego will be a pair, of course

Dan and George 😍😍

gingercat02 · 29/11/2024 08:10

I usually cba with the street food/pop u rounds, but these were good. Loved Gastin French chouxen "sub rolls" would have eaten all the puds (even the green slime)
The fav drinks round was inspired.

Ta Ra Gregggggggggg. You are leaving the competition, you baldy little creep!

EmotionalSupportBiscuit · 29/11/2024 09:49

Sadly the sock-bothering grocer will be gracing our screens a while longer, it said on one of the news articles that he’ll still appear on this series AND the December specials that have already been filmed.

EsmaCannonball · 29/11/2024 11:03

Jay or Grace or Jimi as a main presenter would be great (especially Jay). Where do we start the campaign? I'd like the new presenter not to be a chef but to be someone who can talk about food in an imaginative way.

I've always wondered what the BBC saw in Gregg and can only conclude that part of their remit is to appeal to a working class audience and they have a really patronising, out-of-touch attitude about who or what appeals to working class people. The stories about Gregg being crude and inappropriate and also obnoxious in non-sexual ways have been going around for yonks.

EmotionalSupportBiscuit · 29/11/2024 11:06

TEAM JAY

Jay for presenter! 😍

GrouchyKiwi · 29/11/2024 12:00

I think Jimi would do a great job.

Gaston news. Don't think anyone else has posted this, apologies if someone has.

He was a contestant a couple of years ago on Top Chef here in France. Bit like Masterchef the Professionals, but interminable. Guess when he got eliminated?

Yup, first. French don't really do creativity, chef wise.

Anyway, as you were. Shan't miss Greggggggg's "OH, mate". Almost on a par with Aljaz's "get innnnn" every time he gets through a round in Strictly.
