Lots of votes on another thread for Si King as the next presenter which is a good shout. I'd love Fred Sirieux but I can't see him wanting it and much as I'd love to see Jay, Jimi or Grace presenting MC I'm not sure whether they would see it as an attractive option either.

Apparently some people are calling for BBC to stop showing MasterChef - is it bad that I actually want to see the rest of the series and think it would be unfair for the competing chefs if they do that? Surely they could edit out the Speaking Cock and his inane feedback on the dishes instead?

It's only one MP (Rupa Huq) from the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee which has been singularly useless at holding both Secretaries of State and the BBC to account for many years. Rupa Huq is I'm sure aware that the episodes are available. And no - I think they shouldn't be cancelled.

I'd be very annoyed if the rest of the series is pulled. So unfair on the contestants. And on its core audience of middle aged middle class.......

They just need to say this episode was filmed before the recent allegations involving WalllAce and leave it at that.

I did a quick Google when Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (talking about Gregg on the news) said he had a chef on the show this year and it turns out the farm Chiara works on is actually the River Cottage estate. Yep, that figures.

As for the idea of the show being taken off air in case the audience is triggered by Gregg being a knob; surely the average MasterChef viewer is like the battle-scarred shock troop commando of Gregg Wallace knobbery by now?
