I do wonder if we are heading for a Kit and Ryan storyline.

I think Ryans going to get a bit more suspicious about Kits behaviour, now that Kit has pissed him off by being a total fucking snake. I wonder if Kit is actually involved in Masons brothers getting away with absolute murder all the time... is he getting kickbacks from them too?

How old would Wendy be now though as there must be an age limit on being able to foster or adopt. Not that it seems la Crozier is due a comeback 😏

@MrsGrimshaw Wendy has retired. When she was fostering for Abby she told her it was her final job before retired. That's why Lauren got a new fosterer rather than La Crozier.

No, Jacob was Amys boyfriend, he was a bad lad turned good, he was the lad who was delivering drugs on his bike and got Simon into it. It turned out he was controlled by Harvey and his lot, he is Damons son.

After he turned over his new leaf, job at the Bistro, shacked up with Amy, Damon reappeared and I think made him steal something or take the blame for something and Jacob had to leave town... never to be seen again. (Oddly, Damon totally forgets he even has a son when he turned over his own shiny new leaf and starts to be a good boy, trying to right his wrongs etc).

Then Amy gets drunk, sad that it seems everyone was right, Jacob was a bad lad etc... and thats when Summers creepy boyfriend Aaron raped her after she'd passed out drunk and started messing around with him.

@Shellingbynight Thank you. I tend to forget details from years back on Corrie. So many characters and twists and turns etc. It often surprises me how some posters here can recall the complicated relationships from decades ago. 🫤

Ahhhhhh @PayYourselfFirst yes, I remember it being horribly unfair and to this day Amy has no idea of the truth, which seemed a bit weird given Damon was making out he was righting his wrongs and trying to be a good person!

I really liked Jacob. The actor wanted to leave though and he's getting some good work (currently filming a drama with Sheridan Smith) so I doubt we'll see him back.

That makes sense as they've definitely tried to replicate his character in Mason.

Yes you're right, Mason is similar. But he's an annoying character because just when you think you're getting somewhere he goes round in an other circle with the panto villain brothers. And Betsy isn't helping.

They replicate lots of characters, Kelly, Betsy & Lauren all merge in to one for me.
Lots of rogues/rough diamonds who turn it around, Becky, kylie even Shona who tried to nick David’s wallet. All a bit predictable..

Not feeling Carla and Lisa Swain together. Doesn't gel - for me - at all.

Carla was very cold about Swain's (deceased) ex, towards her and Betsy. That would have ended the 'relationship' before it started for me.

'Come here you' uttered by a sweaty, smiley, flushed face Swain made me cringe a bit. 😬

I’m not on board with Carla and Swain either. That’s because I am not on board with anything involving Swain. Or Betsy.

Carla and Swain don’t even have any chemistry, they should just have a strong female friendship because we don’t seem to see that nowadays in Corrie. Not like we do in Classic Corrie if any of you watch that
