Thanks all, i see corrie is messing with us again!

Myattention · 24/12/2024 06:41

I am liking Mason too. Knew that would happen when he was released and returned to the street. Same as what’s his name that went out with Amy and sold Simon drugs. I am liking where the story is going with Sally and Tim.

Jacob. They do this a lot in all the soaps.

I'm loving Sally softening. Thought it would be Yasmeen he'd end up staying with, but this is much better!

Loved it when Gail said she needed to get some medication from Dr Gadass for her honeymoon and David quipped 'Birth control". 🤣

PayYourselfFirst · 24/12/2024 07:56

Ooooh so pleased Nick and Toyah are onto Leeane
She will just bluster away as usual but isn't it perverting the course of justice?

I think Frankie is Max baby so Dee-Dee will go through the whole pregnancy to give birth and nope wrong daddy
Then bond but aaaargh your dad's a killer I can't dooooo it 🙄

CellophaneFlower · 24/12/2024 08:01

I really hope Gail goes off to France and pops back a couple of times a year.

You'd assume as an actor who's played that part for so many years and isn't looking to carry on her career elsewhere, Helen would like popping back to see everybody now and then 🤔

The baby will be tested any day soon.

Shellingbynight · 24/12/2024 08:08

From hearing Jack talk about Helen on his podcast, I doubt she'll pop back. She seems very shy and low key. And (for whatever reason) for a long while Gail has barely been on screen when she was actually on the show, including for her exit 😞

When Audrey dies I suppose Gail may return for the funeral if Helen's well enough.

I stopped watching while the "who killed Joel" episodes were on.
There was a scene last week where Leanne was on the phone (to Sam? Or Nick?) In the bistro, and Tracey said something about her being evil.
Can someone please fill me in on what was going on there?
And also, was it really Lauren who killed Joel?

CellophaneFlower · 24/12/2024 08:12

I'm just hoping that after she's been away for a bit she'll miss her bantz with David and just nip back for the odd ep 🙏🙏 I'll even take a facetime 😂

Clawdy · 24/12/2024 08:14

Mason has gone from evil to sweet! I rather like the change though.

MrsGrimshaw · 24/12/2024 08:14

@CellophaneFlower

Yes I was going to mention this. Thought I might be wrong though 😕 but a baby in the womb can be tested for whatever they're looking for long before it's born.

Tracy knows about Leanne setting Toyah up and is loving it as it's something she would do.

Yes, Lauren whacked Joel with a rock whilst he was attempting to throttle Max.

Because of this weird revenge petty storyline, Leanne pretended to phone Nick and speak to him to make Toyah jealous I think and that’s when Tracy said Leanne was more evil than her. I think Leanne has two phones, one when she was pretending to also be Nick and yes, Lauren really did kill Joel. There was no twist or anything

It's the stem cells from the cord blood I believe they need eventually, so probably quite simple to take a sample in utero.

Shellingbynight · 24/12/2024 08:35

@CherryogDog Lauren did kill Joel, she is claiming self defence. She and Max tracked him via his phone and followed him up onto a bridge in the middle of the night and confronted him. Then there was the tussle, Lauren whacked him and then they threw him over the bridge into a river. So in real life rather than Corrie fantasy I doubt she'd get away with 'self defence'.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 24/12/2024 08:46

They really have turned Gail into a simpering wreck. 'Mauritius oooh ' !

CherryogDog · 24/12/2024 09:01

Thanks for filling me in!

Shellingbynight · 24/12/2024 09:35

@Illjusthavethebreadsticks Agreed! That was awful. It would be better if they'd killed her off rather than reduced her to this.😬

Yep. I hope she gets a good end when it’s aired. I’d like to see her just go off by herself. No kids, no Jesse. Just fuck it I’m off!

Shellingbynight · 24/12/2024 09:47

But unfortunately the writers have turned her into the type of person who shouldn't be let out alone.

I get that they wanted her exit to be 'Gail gets married yet again' which was a good idea and could provide some great lines. But it has been abysmally executed, just like every other storyline this year.

Do you think it was her choice to be like this or the writers turned her into this?

CellophaneFlower · 24/12/2024 09:51

I don't think Gail has ever been a particularly strong character though. She's always been weak and easily led, hence her record of terrible men and David having zero respect for her and treating her like rubbish.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 24/12/2024 10:17

Her best performance was after Aiden died and the net curtain monologue. She's gone downhill since then as has corrie !!

eggandonion · 24/12/2024 10:44

Gail was good, running the cafe, with Roy and Alma, being a single mum after our Brian, dealing with Ivy, producing the wonderful David along with Toyboy Martin .
Now she is Poor Gail. I think the combination of Richard Hillman and Evil David is responsible for her current daftness.
