Also, how many times are they going to use the fake mugging storyline on Corrie? Normally happens with takings. Has definitely been used with the bistro and kebab shop and possibly many more.

Is David really that thick (yes, yes, I know 😂) that he goes to all the trouble of getting himself beaten up then tells 2 people but can't manage to stick to the same story? He could have also told Shona that he was embarrassed that's why he doubled the amount of muggers but oh no, for once he sang like a canary 🙄

Why didn't David tell the Mason kids that Jesse had the money? He hates Jesse, so why would he care that he gets robbed?

None of the storylines make any sense.

None of it makes sense as even if Jesse had transferred the money already, it wouldn't have gone to the solicitor yet. Especially since it's Xmas and they all seem to bugger off for ages (unless you're Deedee and Adam who seem to work for free most of the time anyway).

Jesse would have had to sign something to declare the money a gift and David hadn't seemed to have mentioned anything at all to Shona about actually having the funds for the house.

Also impressed that Kit managed to headbutt somebody without leaving a mark on himself at all. Must be made of steel that one.

It's not often I watch afternoon telly but just saw a Classic Corrie. New year's eve in the packed and buzzing Rovers. Rosie and Goth boyfriend caught by Sally after sexy bedroom time. Wonderful Dierdre. Mike and Danny Baldwin. Les and Cilla. Even Sean when he was good. Leanne when she was a happy lass. Much more.

Does the van belong to mason's brothers maybe? They seem to spend a lot of time on the street and it looks like it would be handy for burglaries or for shifting stolen goods. And yes why didn't David say that Jesse has the money, giving them rings that they will only get a few quid for is stupid. David wouldn't tell different people different stories, he is after all a seasoned liar. I just had a thought about Gemma, perhaps her hair is going to start falling out, they haven't done alopecia before have they? Or even worse I hope they aren't going to give her cancer.

If she eventually gives birth and gives up the baby could those dodgy grandparents adopt without her knowing it's them? Am not sure of the law in this one. DeeDee's baby is definitely Joel's but there's a❓ over the father of Frankie so we're in for yet more drama. Edge of my seat? Not exactly 🫤

Joel won't be on Frankie's birth certificate so what rights do his parents have?

It isn’t edge of your seat and the grandparents have no rights anyway. I know in soap land, they’ll find out soon and try to get custody but in reality, it would not happen because if Dee Dee had any sense, she wouldn’t put Joel on the birth certificate and even if she did, grandparents have zero rights anyway

A delicate subject but if a baby is given up for adoption does the mother have any rights re knowing where baby has gone?

@Deadringer Gemma has a horrible wig because Dolly cut her hair and her own style isn’t right for Gemma.

@MrsGrimshaw I watch Classic and as you say it’s brilliant. Good storylines, and great scripts with characters allowed to interact with each other like normal people rather than a series of plot points. And not a copper in sight!

I know that years ago the only way a parent found out anything about their adopted child was if the child later decided to contact them. I don’t know if that has changed. But what actually happens is irrelevant, because it's Corrie.

I get why they have given Gemma a wig but I don't get why they have given her one that is so obviously a wig! Surely there's funds in the wardrobe department to get her a more realistic one? I really hope they come up with a more lighthearted reason why Gemma has to have the chop... perhaps a visit to a stressed out David/Audrey who leave her colour on for too long or something so we don't have to look at that monstrosity for long and poor Dolly doesn't have to wear it anymore 😂

Janice on Classic has been wearing horrible wig for months and then a radical haircut was storylined. I doubt they will bother for Gemma though, she'll just keep wearing a rank wig.

I couldn’t be more bored with the whole Lauren/ Frankie/ DeeDee storyline. The only thing that will save this story is Joel not being Frankie’s Dad after all. But even then I won’t care.
And as for Carla & Lisa, absolute zero sexual chemistry.
I’m enjoying the whole Platt family drama, and scheming Leanne.
And Kit is gorgeous 😄**
