The rest of the thread title

"For it's not easy to not get lipsed on the down low without someone getting lippy. Casper is still dying of cringe and Shitlid sees no way out. For we are all scrambling for our dignity, whilst watching the utter mockery"

It was a joint effort by us all.

I think Holly ‘going home today’ is just manufactured drama the way it was set up with her talking to Lacey about it and Alex talking to Shitlid and Polly.
im sure they get to go back and see kids during the experiment anyway.

Sadly, I’m sure she’ll be back

I haven't watched last night's yet but how can Holly go from totally loved up and 'we're so good' at the commitment ceremony to 'I'm going home'?! She's deluded.

He got DRAGGED in the comments.

People are not having it at all!

It’s a complete cop out. As always!

@browneyes77 can you give a little synopsis of what people are saying to Paul/his responses? Am not on X! Thank you!

I found you all, at last! I've finally caught up with this series as it started while I was on holiday - so thoughtless of E4.

I've just laughed all the way through the threads, they are better than the shows themselves, so thank you all for that.

Ah Gaston! Poor Amy. Honestly, I couldn't handle any of that - even though physically I might quite like to!!!! If DP ever said to a room full of people that he's made love to me or that he wanted to sit on my face, I would bludgeon him to death with his own penis. However, sweetly intentioned it might have been.

I loved Scorcher's directness but I was less keen on the requirement for princess treatment before forgiveness was given.

Angry Alex is in desperate need of therapy.

Rafe - bless him, do we think there are any brain cells rattling around in there? So sweet, but just seems so vacant.

Ripper Richelle - where were the words of warning to her about character annihilation? I presume her decimation of that daft wally Orson was left in to show her as being truly repellant.

Shitlid - best name ever. I also wondered if the coat and hat were so that he could cut and run from Pol Pot (another excellent name).

As for Made in Chelsea, could a worse match have ever been made? Two terribly polite people who are utterly unsuited to each other. Can you imagine trying to hit it off with someone who is the spit of your sibling? Just horrific.

Seriously what is the Sionainn head wobbling about?? Never seen this before. Is it a nervous thing?

She reminds me of a Thunderbird puppet.

He's saying well it's edited down, you don't get to see all of the session/commitment ceremony they sometimes take hours etc.

Everyone else: so why aren't you showing us the bits where you address the bullying and calling out bad behaviour (like the Pholly bullying of Hannah and Richelle calling Orson simple) - is it perhaps because it didn't actually happen.

I don’t like to dampen the tone of this genuinely hilarious thread (which is possibly the best thing on the internet right now) but does anyone remember Kieran speaking about his ex girlfriend? He said she made him sit in his van with his dog for a few hours after work each day as she needed time in the house without him. He was really tearful speaking about it.

Kristina is utterly loveable but he seems vulnerable in his own right. This current situation has made for sad viewing as I hoped they’d be the ones to go the distance.

I absolutely don't disbelieve Kieran but I would have been interested to hear out the ex's version of events. Why did she need/ want the space? I can't necessarily see his habits being the easiest to live with.

I think he's handling this well. Accepts it's isn't Kristina's fault but is managing expectations and not taking the opportunity for a shag where he can. Wonder if it could have been handled better with separate accommodation on her worst days. Also who made up/ dragged out the cold sore face saver. If him, I think that was probably an act of protecting her.

Adam said Lacey was the most attractive wife anyway at that same game so that's no different. He's just digging his heels in rather than leave. I actually think he's being quite cruel to Polly despite her faults.

I agree Emma and Luke have a similar streak, covering up uncertainty with this play acting. if they could form a friendship it could be really supportive.

I maintain Caspar and Emma need to go this week though. His reservations are totally valid, she's thought she could manage him into shape, without really listening to him, but he can't critique her for desperately trying to meet him halfway when he keeps withdrawing further.

I wasn't sure if Hannah and Orson would be encouraged back in to keep things spicy!!

LRT555 · 23/10/2024 10:12

Thanks @TitsInAbsentia !

I am glad he is being called out, addressing bullying is far more important a thing to show than whether Gaston and Amy are getting it on

THOSE are the bit we want to see and they "edited" them out where's the Pinocchio emoji

'daft wally' 😁

Teeh · 23/10/2024 10:31

I thought rafe was really sweet last night. Mentioning her personality that he liked instead of looks was really thoughtful. I think he is smarter than he seems. And he does bring out a good side in Lacey. She seems more relaxed and content. Less heavy make up etc

I agree with this. He has listened to what she's said about how she likes to be complimented and has taken it on board. It's sweet and thoughtful.

Doesn't mean he's not still a bit vacant, though. I really couldn't cope with that level of conversation every day.

He's a nice boy, but just not that sharp - and that's not just down to communication or ADHD. We can't all be intellectual, though, can we?

JaneJeffer · 23/10/2024 12:12

Now Gaston has got Sacha crying all over him 😂

There was a bit of a slip up when Polly said to Shitlid you don't give me a hug when you're going home so I think they all get breaks from filming that we aren't supposed to know about.

Polly and Shitlid seem very domesticated doing the housework together.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 23/10/2024 13:26

Just caught up. Whoever called it that Kieren was using the cold sore as an excuse to avoid intimacy was spot on.

At this point Polly and Adam are one of the of the strongest couples and who would have seen that coming !

DizzyBumble · 23/10/2024 13:28

Poor Emma, felt so bad for her when Casper pretty much said she was just a practise one for learning for future relationships

ruethewhirl · 23/10/2024 13:33

Genuinely don't think it's that. I think she's quite impenetrable and draining with her false jollity, and now it's moved on to ooooh matron stuff about sex. The vulnerability is the only 'real her' he thinks he's seeing whereas the head girl sales stuff Bridget Jones routine is probably quite a big part too. They just really don't gel and should have had the leaving convo this week as they're just taking turns to look bad and it's probably affecting her self esteem, all this moroseness

Feels like they're in a catch-22 at this point really. Her persona does seem to be putting him at arm's length, but I think it's her armour tbh, literally a persona she assumes to protect herself, so it's almost like the more he keeps his distance the more we're seeing the jokiness around sex and the head-girl/Bridget Jones type behaviour, which is quite cringe and clearly acting as a turn-off for him, so... yeah.

I still think Caspar isn't comfortable with women who don't fit his idea of marriage material, and he's really bad at hiding it, which won't be helping Emma feel able to put the persona on one side. I was a bit surprised by [I don't know the ixpert's name]'s advice to Emma to start showing more vulnerability, though. It's probably what Caspar needs, but he doesn't want her, so he's the last person she should be showing vulnerability to.

Tbh I thought Emma's 'I'm not sure I like you enough' and all Caspar's blather about 'future girlfriends' last night told their own story. I would be absolutely gobsmacked if these two made it work, I think they both need a completely different type of partner.

JaneJeffer · 23/10/2024 13:47

I think Casper would be happier remaining single. Maybe he'll come to that realisation.

Waterboatlass · 23/10/2024 14:32

The 'future girlfriends' stuff was I hope the death knell, surely. I get it. There is no attraction. The sister thing was unfortunate and they would never have had a second date.

I think Nafe is very wise. He's, where, Cornwall and Lace is Herts? They might move to London together but neither seem ready to fly the nest

Teeh · 23/10/2024 14:47

It is lovely that nafe shows absolutely no aggressive tendancies at all. I mean, it is all edited etc. but he seems to have a lovely calm personality

I think that's a conclusion many of the contestants have come to😆😆😆

chickenlettuceunderbacon · 23/10/2024 17:51

Thinking on the whole Ross thing, I suspect he's been playing a part for a while in the hope of getting into Sasha's knickers. I say this because his initial impression was very different and sooner or later, everyone shows their true colours which is what we're seeing now. In fact, it's not just Ross, many of the cast are showing themselves for who they really are.

Teeh · 23/10/2024 17:58

I wondered that with Ross. Sasha made it kind of easy for him to know what “part” to play. As she was quite good at saying exactly what she expected from a partner. So he was able to just provide that accordingly to be make sure he is seen in a good light.

hopefully that’s not the case though. I am hoping he is actually still be lovely guy

dapsnotplimsolls · 23/10/2024 18:05

I agree about Ross, trying too hard to fit the bill and he can't maintain it

Waterboatlass · 23/10/2024 18:10

Good point re Ross. And he may have been doing it not in bad faith but in the knowledge that if he didn't fulfil those clear criteria, he would be very easy to portray as the arsehole on TV as it's quite black and white- I want respect, family stuff, protection etc lovely though Sacha seems, I'm not sure there's an awful lot of room for nuance or discussion about expectations.

Also he kicked off somewhat but I can imagine being the only deaf one at these constant dramatic group events not designed for him is quite draining and frustrating about not catching everything and saying the wrong thing out of misunderstanding hence wanting to stay out of conflict unless absolutely necessary. That might not be it at all but it might explain why he didn't want to get involved with Sacha and Alex and overreacted after the ceremony

Teeh · 23/10/2024 18:17

It does seem like none of the guys want to stand up to Alex. They all treat him as a friend. It’s only the girls who end up doing that
