The rest of the thread title

"For it's not easy to not get lipsed on the down low without someone getting lippy. Casper is still dying of cringe and Shitlid sees no way out. For we are all scrambling for our dignity, whilst watching the utter mockery"

It was a joint effort by us all.

I'm another Body Combat fan! It's my happy place 🤣

Ah it’s soooooo good for releasing pent up aggression! 🤣🤣

The amount of people who’ve pissed me off that I’ve envisioned punching. My boss features heavily….. 😂😂

SassK · 22/10/2024 23:35

Kieran has checked out. He's giving a lot of thought (and time/effort) to letting her down gently. He's like a different person, his spark has gone completely.

Italiangreyhound · 22/10/2024 23:36

Ah thanks.

I'm fine with Sasha's accent, despite being from Yorkshire.

When I first met DH I did ask if he was from Australia coz of his accent. He's a cockney 😂

Cockney is the root of some Aussie accents, there's a cool thing on you tube that shows the route of accents from the UK.. from when we deported people or gave then a tenner to emigrate

I think Holly looks like Lauren Harries.

Sacha is coming across as very emotionally intelligent. I don't think the Ross understood properly why she was so upset but that was no excuse to have a tantrum and storm out. Still like K and K and thought he was very honest unlike the rest of them.

Not sure about Polly saying people think she's beautiful.. she doesn't seem to be in any of the ways possible.

TitsInAbsentia · 23/10/2024 00:09

Do we think Alex might be a fan boy of that Andrew T bloke...because he's coming across like a total bellend who thinks all women should be in the kitchen and nice and quiet. He is grim. Such a shame he wasn't put with Richelle, they would have been so deserving of one another.

I'm starting to think only Lace'n'nafe will go the distance, and even then maybe only 2m over the finish line.

dapsnotplimsolls · 23/10/2024 00:11

Alex is definitely a Tater. I'm not sure Nafe even fancies Lacey.

TitsInAbsentia · 23/10/2024 00:19

I'm not convinced Nafe knows what it is to fancy someone.

TitsInAbsentia · 23/10/2024 00:20

Anyone near Holmfirth? If so run...run away...now! 😂
Or, go to this and report back.

I can see I'm in the minority here, but I feel that Sasha is so used to being Daddy's Little Princess that she expects any man she dates to be the same. I don't think their relationship will survive when her dad finds out that Ross upset his little girl, and I think that Sasha probably values his opinion over her own.

Alex crossed a line and I don't think he should be allowed to stay, but I think Ross firstly didn't catch all the conversation at the commitment ceremony and secondly just wanted to keep out of any potential further flare up from Alex. Throwing his wedding ring and storming out was petulant and an over-reaction, but I think Sasha sees herself as someone who needs protecting and he failed on her eyes when he didn't "protect" her in the way she had decided he should.

I find it really interesting too that even though they are mostly young enough to be my children, their expected gender roles in relationships are so old fashioned.
"I want a vulnerable woman".
"I want you to romance me".
"I need more public affection from you".
"I was going to ask him first before (I made a move on his wife)".
"I need a man who takes charge".

There is so much insecurity, I think there are about two people who are emotionally stable enough to be on a programme like this. (Not sure who the two are but there must be two, surely!). Luke and Caspar maybe.

HaddyAbrams · 22/10/2024 21:42

What did he cook? It looked like pasta in some kind of pink sauce.

I thought it was going to be rice, rice and chips again. But he found a saucepan at last.

I’m nowhere near Holmfirth.

If they decide to come a good bit up north, I can confidently say I’ll be considering a day out in Holmfirth.

I don’t like to dampen the tone of this genuinely hilarious thread (which is possibly the best thing on the internet right now) but does anyone remember Kieran speaking about his ex girlfriend? He said she made him sit in his van with his dog for a few hours after work each day as she needed time in the house without him. He was really tearful speaking about it.

Kristina is utterly loveable but he seems vulnerable in his own right. This current situation has made for sad viewing as I hoped they’d be the ones to go the distance.

SilentSheldon · 23/10/2024 00:39

I remember.

It was horrible to hear.

That sort of baggage must weigh a ton. Poor bugger.

I hope they can work through things. Both deserve happiness.

I thought this too. I also thought he'd show more support to Kristina as he knew how it felt being a " bit too much" sometimes.
He also has to realise her pmdd is not due to him or his fault despite her maybe seemingly being in a bad mood with him or whatever.
I love these 2. I so want them to work it out.
I think they grew a strong bond quickly before her first pmdd time kicked in. He got to see her true loveliness and I hope he realised that was the real Kristina. ( she'd drive me crazy with her bounciness though)

User364837 · 23/10/2024 07:38

I think Holly ‘going home today’ is just manufactured drama the way it was set up with her talking to Lacey about it and Alex talking to Shitlid and Polly.
im sure they get to go back and see kids during the experiment anyway.

Sadly, I’m sure she’ll be back

mewkins · 23/10/2024 07:38

There always comes this point in the show when couples that have been seemingly great start to crack. Happens every series. I think up to a point they are sticking with it and finding out about each other. But then the penny drops that this is a life decision and they get really cold feet. I suspect if kieran had a week or two on his own to think, he'd come back and decide to stick with it.

User364837 · 23/10/2024 07:40

I agree re, K & K but I also feel that Kieran has been slightly set up to fail.

I don’t think it would be unreasonable to think if you come on to a show to get matched with someone at the altar that they wouldn’t have a serious mental health condition that effectively means their personality changes and they could be borderline abusive once a month. Not many people could make that work.

its shit for Kristina too and I hope like others have said that going public about it means she can get the very best help.

wrongthinker · 23/10/2024 07:57

I feel very sorry for Kristina but obviously this is a dumb show to come on in her situation. Surely in real life, she could not see tje person she was dating on her worst days and slowly build trust. I'm not saying that wouldn't be tricky too. But MAFS is like a hothouse and they are constantly in each other's space.

Plus I just think Keiran is probably gay and doesn't really fancy Kristina. He is quite vulnerable too so maybe he just switched off the moment Kristina flipped into beast mode.

It's a sad situation, that one. I don't think I'll watch this show again. It's so exploitative and nasty.

Gaston telling the world Amy is freaky between the sheets and that he wants to sit on her face would give me the total ick. Bedroom details like that on camera should be absolutely off limits.

Teeh · 23/10/2024 08:14

Yes I am surprised Amy didn’t tell him that was too much
