Millionaires Katy and Dan swap homes with tree surgeon like and carer Katy who face daily financial struggles

Last nights episode ( 20th October ) didn't make a lot of sense. Katy wanted to go ' into property development' without any money at all.
They couldn't even buy a new bed let alone get a loan for a property to flip ( although I am assuming here they wouldn't be able to find the money based on their current income )
It was obvious that the other couple would be putting the money up! They may as well called it the ' unsecret millionaires' to be honest ( the secret millionaire was a great programme )
Nice couples , but it did annoy me that they made property development look easy when I'm sure it isn't at all

Just started watching it now. That house is absolutely NOT the rich people’s house. It is devoid of homeliness. Empty picture hooks in the bathroom, nothing in the kitchen glass fronted units. Faking it until they make it me thinks. Feel so sorry for the poor people thinking the dream is achievable when it’s fake. Bet the cars are just rentals too.

Mulberry It did feel a bit strange at times. Not sure if it was a rental , but it did look like it might not have been their house. Maybe a second home of some kind or something like that ?
The friend the poorer couple met seemed genuine , but they didn't even seem to offer her a cup of tea !

But

I found it weird that poor Katy could get onto the floor easily after the helicopter ride and get up tho had fibro plus other stuff but can't do a few hours extra a week to earn money as works part time

They want their own house. Fair play

But

Struggle on their wages paying rent on a council flat so will be a reduced /low rent

But want a mortgage which will prob double their outgoings and be no help via uc etx

I didn't notice about the house for Katy and Dan

I did find it weird they went shopping for an engagement ring then proposed a month later

Yes would have been nice to know more about the house they planned to flip and get £20/30k + from it for the deposit for a house

I did love the way the rich couple paid for a new buggy and mattress and wanted to find his own old biddy

Tho if still paying it off and was broken I would have complained to company they bought if from

Barely an episode goes by without there being someone on who claims to have made millions in XYZ business, where in reality they get rich selling 'courses' to other people who believe they did actually get rich doing whatever it is they're talking about.

There's been dozens of them over the many series' of this show.

Why is it always property market last week and this week…so poor family are going to become property developers??

As per my post, C5 seem to be falling over themselves to give free advertising to people selling 'courses' on property 'development'.

Everyone in the real world knows it's just a get-rich-quick scheme where 'for only £x,xxx we will teach you how to make millions in property'.

Absolute nonsense.

I have fibromyalgia and I can get on the floor and up again no problem. I can also still touch my toes in my 60s. I also have hypermobility

Fibromyalgia doesn't affect my range of movement or my my ability to do things like get up off the floor ( though it hurts more). In fact I make a point of still getting onto the floor and getting up again as I don't want to lose the ability with age. Fibro affects my physical stamina (eg can't walk as far or as fast as others my age) and causes me to be in constant pain. I have to pace myself carefully. I can push myself to do much more physical activity but then I'm wiped out for a couple of days afterwards. It is also somewhat variable. Some days I feel I have more energy than others. In my case I think it is likely to be connected to how much deep sleep I get at night.

Need a back up plan if the football dosent come off. Hope their dreams come true though re the football.

Yep it is the same old same old...if they cannot afford to buy their own home how are they going to have the wherewithal to start a property developer business?!?

Also the girl advising the "poor" couple in the yellow high viz jacket at the house under construction said she was trained by the "rich" girl and now has a 7 figure property portfolio nah am not buying it....load of cobblers

At least the poors get to spend some readies during the show I suppose but I believe they are directed what to spend the money on?

It's nothing more than free advertising for the company, that's why the richer people in this case go on.
It gets their name across.

And the poor family always want to get into property

£1000 on 3 small carrier bags and they didn't look heavy either

What did they buy

Nice they paid thr £6k debt off

Training up is fine

But still need the financial backup of thousands to buy a flip around
