Do you think the couples choice with the Doctor will be Cayleidgh inspired? She has talked about doing Scottish dancing.

I don't think there's any fix in it either (although those costumes were atrocious). Tom just messed it up big time in the dance off. The timing was so obviously wrong that it couldn't be ignored. Which is a shame for both Tom and Nadiya, but these things happen.

Although think Toyah or Paul should go

Would be interesting to see if they could fit ceilidh dancing into a routine, actually.

Ooh it could be. I jumped to Bollywood but I don't think they've done Scottish dancing only on DOI. And we missed out on Angela doing Irish dancing last year. Could Gorks wear that lovely kilt? with nothing on underneath

Perhaps Gorka will wear his kilt.

I thought Tom was awful- wooden, Nadiya danced around him, the timing was awful. Toyah is sort of flat-footed and knock-kneed but she threw herself into it. Both of them have height issues- he is too tall and she is way too short. Neither looks elegant.
I thought the decision based on that dance was the right one but I was surprised Tom was in the dance off given how crap Paul Merson is. I think Tom looked really shocked.

Gorka looked gorgeous in that kilt!

First bit of Strictly I've seen this year, I thought Tom looked really uncomfortable and his dancing was dreadful. Lovely lad regardless.

Unless they paid Tom to perform poorly in the dance off, it was not a fix.

Hopefully Toyah will give Tom her ticket to Barbados!

I feel bad for Tom. His dance off dance wasn't great, but I still think he had more potential than Toyah.

Toyah's dance had hardly any, if any, jive content at all. Is she the oldest female contestant to have done a jive? I know Debbie did it, and Angela Rippon avoided it.

I fear she might actually inadvertently become the joke contestant they way things are going. She looked daft in both dances so far. I hope she gets something a bit calmer next week.

I often defend Neil on here as he gets a lot of hate as it is, but to have choreographed the moves that made his partner look ridiculous in both dances is indefensible.

Poor Tom. He looked so disappointed. I think he had much more potential than Toyah- she's already had a lifetime of performance in the music industry and still couldn't really pull it off.
Tom did so well and is exactly the type of person I enjoy watching on Strictly- someone who does NOT come from a dance or performance background and who learns to dance and you see them improve and progress.

I felt so sorry for Tom. He looked so upset and I thought it sad that he said "I'm sorry" to Nadiya

Agreed - disappointed in Neil. Tom shouldn’t have been in dance off but he wasn’t great tonight.

A Bollywood/Ceilidh mashup would be awesome! I went to a fabulous Scottish/Indian wedding recently, it was so fun with the mix of music, food, and both kilts & saris
