Littleguggi · 19/09/2024 18:38

Just caught up and these are my thoughts so far..

Loving KK, they are really matching each others energy levels and sense of humour.

Emma and Caspar have no chance really, he's had to ick since the wedding day because she looks too much like his sister who he despises. Psychotherapy would have a field day working with this couple.

Lacey and Nathan are an odd couple but I can see why they have been matched, they are on the same wavelength in terms of their intelligence (or lack of!) levels. I find them so boring, like watching paint dry.

Eve and Charlie- I feel we are only being shown part of the story/ arguments which is why everyone is so divided on whether they support Eve or Charlie. I feel their energy levels, communication levels and intelligence (including emotional intelligence) levels are completely at odds, what were the experts thinking matching these two?! Other then their sexuality, nothing is compatible.

dapsnotplimsolls · 19/09/2024 18:40

I think the ixperts knew they'd be a car-crash.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 19/09/2024 18:59

It's all the usual

She's a lesbian and so is she

Let's lock it in

She's a bit like Brigette Jones he's got a dog called Brigette

Let's lock it in

He's got ADHD she's got a twin with ADHD

Let's lock it in

Etc etc

MouseMinge · 19/09/2024 19:02

@Littleguggi that's how I feel about Eve and Charlie.

Whoever called Lacey Temu Katie Price you are evil and more or less spot on. She wants too much too soon from him. Nathan is it? He's also a bit bloody odd but they could get there. Or probably not.

I hope Kieran and Kristina continue being as happy as they currently are but it's MAFS so I guess that's not going to happen without at least a few ups and downs.

MouseMinge · 19/09/2024 19:03

Ooh, not sure why my post has been hidden.

Malaguena123 · 19/09/2024 19:07

No matter how much Nathan compliments Lacey it will NEVER be enough for her. He can't make up for years of her thinking her twin is the pretty one. This one won't last 5 minutes.

greenrollneck · 19/09/2024 19:15

Wow that filled up so fast!!

Eve is scary, her body language is awful.

AtlasPine · 19/09/2024 19:20

It’s the total lack of understanding of so many MAFs contestants over the idea that time, patience, tolerance and kindness have to underpin an ixperiment like this if it’s going to be gentle and fun. All the aggro, the conflict, the hurt and the nastiness just isn’t needed. But it would be boring if they weren’t there though I guess.

Nathan interests me because I think he could be really quite a lot more than he is currently able to articulate. He is definitely not neurotypical. I think he’s genuinely keen on Lacey and is a bit baffled by what she wants. He’ll give it to her if he can get his head round it.

Charley is the worst for wanting everything on day one. If she seriously thought about the emotional investment you need to make to set up a relationship for life, she’d realise that Eve needing time out is fine. Because that is what Eve needs. She also needs what we all need which is an invested partner who will take the time to get to know us before jumping to judgmental, passive aggressive sniping. Step back! Watch and listen! Be humane and patient! Drama drama drama - all so self centred.

Eve is very, very fragile. A huge work in progress for anyone who is with her I suspect.

Tonight - guy with a hearing impairment will presumably be matched with someone whose 2nd cousin's neighbour has a hearing impairment!

Second thread on day four!
Thanks for being on the case and setting this up @murasaki .

woodlandtrees · 19/09/2024 19:48

Ready for later

AtlasPine · 19/09/2024 19:48

Not that it’s important in this context but we generally say ‘hard of hearing’, ‘deaf’ or ‘Deaf (if first language is BSL) rather than ‘hearing impairment’ . I’m not trying to be difficult, just updating anyone of the terminology which is preferred by most of the deaf community. (Of which I am one.) I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t use the language you want ultimately.
