I agree with @Littleguggi my jury is out on Eve and Charlie as I don't think we're getting an honest story, I feel like it's being painted in someone's favour, I'm just not sure whose yet.

From what we've seen, I don't agree with Eve's definition of shouting and screaming. I think it was incumbent on her to tell Charlie she wished to sleep alone. Absolutely fine to do that, it's her boundary, but Charlie shouldn't have had to ask when they'd had sex already. Not thoughtful.

Charlie doesn't seem entirely serious about the being in love but I think she needs to control it more.

Both seem self aware re their flaws but not how to translate that knowledge into compromise.

I just don't get why either Emma seemed to make so little of him being reminded of his sister and plough onwards wanting more detail. He was tactless, of course, but I think I would back right off if a man said I reminded him of his sister!! I wouldn't need to know if I was his ideal type otherwise or not!

Lacey looked lovely with simpler makeup and her hair back in the cookery class. I think she's been addressing her insecurities with very dated makeup and clothes and looked really rather striking when natural.

I feel a bit sorry for Casper actually. He was honest about not feeling a spark and said it was because she reminded him of his sister which I think was a fair observation. She then pointedly asked him what his usual type was, she didn't really leave him much choice but to then talk about physical attributes. True that he hasn't got a picture perfect body either, but he only said he doesn't really go for curvier women. He didn't say I don't like you because you're fat, he tried to be somewhat tactful by firstly not mentioning anything physical (until forced to!) and then when it did turn to the physical I think he used appropriate terminology. It didn't feel like fat shaming to me. Her reaction was more of a red flag, basically telling him how dare he not find her attractive, when she put him in the spot by asking the question in the first place.

Fair enough, I was trying to avoid saying deaf because I wasn't sure if it was ok.

MAFS is a TV programme looking for maximum ratings, so the issues will go in the producers favour and we (and the contestants) willing pawns. Sometimes the people who are matched learn a lesson even if they don't start off well. Caspar and Emma are quite well matched (apart from the Sister issue) if she tones it down. Her curly hair is better than the wiggy looking barnet, her penchant for wine has caused her not so curvy 'curves'. There's a lot of false bravado going on I feel. It's early days in the series..the point of the exercise is that people can see where they've been going wrong and taking the chance. It's obvious that being instantly attracted physically is not always a good thing (Charlie and Eve)

Bigger people can fancy smaller frames and vice versa. I think it was the mannerisms and personality that turned him off initially..when pushed he admitted he would naturally gravitate to a more petite woman in the past..fair enough! He's agreed to enter the experiment but she's pretty full on without being his usual type..on a 'honeymoon' essentially between strangers.. sometimes a good connection takes a while. Good for her that she feels sexy from the outset..but like beauty it's in the eye of the beholder..sometimes it's immediate other times you can't put a finger on it or it grows. It's early days

I am new to MAFS. I’m aghast.

Eve and Charlie are such a worrying combination. They really need to get away from each other. They are both displaying really unhealthy behaviour but bigger picture they are fundamentally incompatible .
Caspar - the cheek of him. Not fancying someone is fair enough but telling them they’re too curvy is really out of order especially when he is far from svelte.

Lacey. Just no. She’s such hard work. She’s exhausting to watch.

I like K and K - they are quite full on but seem v happy together.

Exactly. You can't make someone fancy you, and (from previous experience) there's nowt more off-putting than someone trying too hard. Same with the other woman. (Can't remember her name) He's not that attractive, but it's a massive turn off trying to shame / bully etc someone into fancying you and 'hoping for a snog' when they eventually give in.

Producer meddlement is obviously at play, but crikey have some self respect.
