So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

Sarah did mention Harry in last nights episode.
I agree with the majority of the things she said to Daniel. He clearly still has feelings for Daisy and Bertie is not her child. She is in his life occasionally but not as a mother figure.
Daniel got together with Bethany very quickly after finding out about Daisy and Ryan. It makes sense Bethany would be insecure given her history and Daniel’s obvious love for his ex. He knows he can’t trust Daisy again but he did and still does love her.
If someone had an affair with a good friend there is no way most people would provide. a sympathetic ear when it all went pear shaped.
Daniel went out of his way to be there for Daisy when he heard her and Ryan had split. Most people would be thrilled that karma had finally intervened given Daisy’s previous behaviour.
To ignore Bethany’s calls whilst listening to Daisy speaks volumes. Sarah was correct in her summary of Daniel’s feelings for his ex.
I would be furious if my daughter was unconscious with life changing consequences following surgery and her partner clearly in love with his ex had ignored the hospitals calls.
However i don’t agree that it was Sarah’s decision as to whether Daniel stayed in Turkey or returned to Weatherfield.
If Bethany meant enough to Daniel he would have stayed at her bedside despite Sarahs presence and wishes.
I think Bethany and Daniel were doomed from the start.
Daisy would fare better with someone like Kit who won’t be manipulated and can play her at her own game. Shes not a decent person and Daniel and Ryan were just too good for her.
Off topic slightly but I’ve noticed recently that the girl who plays Bethany seems to have lost a lot of weight. I’m wondering if this is deliberate and will become more noticeable after her return from Turkey and her botched Liposuction.

Isn't the Bethany actor pregnant? I expect this is leading up to her leaving for remedial surgery or something, in another country. Maybe she will go to Thailand with Gail, who will end up not returning home with her. She might even fall in love with Jason Grimshaw 😅

Argh, Sarah and Bethany are so stupid and annoying.
Of COURSE having cosmetic surgery would render your insurance invalid.
And where is the sense of personal responsibility? Why is it everyone else's fault

The actress who plays Sarah is gorgeous. Very very pretty.
The girl who plays Bethany was a naturally pretty young lady. She seems to have had lots of tweaks recently and looks very drawn and thin. I know she’s pregnant atm. Hopefully she’s not unwell currently.

I feel sorry for Bertie. His mum died, Dad shacked up with Daisy who appeared totally uninterested in him (despite everyone pretending they were close) ditto Bethany, and then Aunty Beth left. A sex worker wore mums cardigan, not sure if Bernie had any dealings with her. Now he's staying with Ken 🙄

Presumably Joel is trying to make everyone think he's going to commit suicide, all the 'It's too late' stuff with Roy and then the mawkish phone message to DD. He will doubtless disappear and then turn up at Halloween just when everyone is thinking thank F for that.
