So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

What else?

Apart from all that, it did look as though Carla was not unimpressed by the idea of a love affair with Swain

I thought Carla's look was 'intrigued/amused'. Lisa doesn't have a personality and needs less screen time, not more.

We were told in a waiting area that we needed to go and say our goodbyes to my Grandmother.

I guess it all happened so quickly at the end that they didn't want to waste time ushering them into a nice comfortable family room 🤷🏻‍♀️

Did Leanne give all the evidence back to Rowan? She got the usb stick out of her handbag.

David could have called Steve and Tim could have whizzed across in a cab. Or anyone else who mysteriously has a car. Freshco is fairly close to the street...the hospital is far away, 20 minutes run.
Or Kit could have got Craig in a police car.

Im sure Kit could have radioed PC Tinker who could have rocked up in a panda to pick up Billy.

I think she emailed all the files to Amy as a back up, I saw Amy look on her phone and there was an email from Leanne.

Thank you. But to be honest if a nurse had come and ushered is all into a nice private family room, we would have known why and, I'd imagine, so would anyone else who was listening. So I don't think it mattered that it was said, quietly, in the waiting area.

Another fa.ily might have been in the family room. If Aggie or Martin had been around they would have chased them out and let neighbours in im sure.
A new nurse is needed.

Todd wasn’t actually family though. Even Chesney didn’t go into the room (which I thought was weird).

I guess the corridor they were in was pretty quiet anyway (unless Joel was lurking around the corner!).

I honestly thought that Kit would have summoned a police car or directed traffic or something. A broken down vehicle could be pushed out of the entrance anyway!

What happened at the start? I watched on ITVX and they were loading him into the ambulance. I thought Billy was sleeping a night out off on the sofa. How did he get to the supermarket??

Billy woke up at home on the sofa and couldn't find his phone. Went on a hunt for it with his new best buddy David, and it had been found at the Chariot Square Hotel, having had an intimate encounter with some kind of motor vehicle. He then went to Freshco for a new handset..

Do we think Todd is going to remember how he deviously split Billy and Paul up, and ensured Billy thought really badly of Paul for aaaaaaaaaaages... and feel guilt over this, and then telly Billy who can also feel guilt over it..

Do we think Todd is ever going to play a part in a storyline again? I hope he doesn't get back with Billy, Todd deserves a lot more than that, but there is nothing else on the horizon for him.

I love Todd. He needs a story with David. They are hilarious.
Billy needs a long holiday and a demanding congregation.

Another Todd fan here! I really like the character. I liked the carer that Paul had that had a connection with Todd. He seemed nice and I was hoping that would go somewhere as they did seem to like each other. Not really sure what the point of that storyline was if they were not going to follow that through somehow? He just arrived, hit it off with Todd, got reported to his employers by Bernie, then left. Pointless really 🤔I have a feeling the writers will eventually try and get Todd and Billy back together.

I dont want Todd and Billy. I want Todd to meet a nice man elsewhere. Not boring Billy.
Todd and David discussing all the Joel and Institute stuff with Debbie would be great.
I hope Ken doesn't marry Cassie. Golddigger.

Now that Paul has gone it's time for awful Billy to leave the soap. Probably not going to happen though. Summer's character is superfluous but no doubt the writers will come up with yet another ridiculous situation where she can display her miserable face yet again. Bernie has been wonderful in all this and now that the funeral will be the next sad event we will be seeing Dev supporting her and I'd like to see him do some decent acting. (I still struggle to understand the garbled way he talks🤔)
