So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

What else?

Kit will just say nothing. Although he put the equipment away which I thought was near paul when he needed it?
Kit also said something about American cops leaving fingerprints on baddies cars...will his prints be on Nathans van?
Do I care...not really!

Just my own thoughts on the episodes I watch on catch up, very happy to be wrong on this occasion🙁

It's no secret that Paul will die. After that episode where he and Billy had a big day out, and everyone thought that he was going to ask Billy to administer life-ending drugs, I've thought they would let Paul die in his sleep.

If he does, I hope it was peaceful. I'm not looking forward to tonight's episode. The actor has been brilliant in the role.

It is really horrible. Not peaceful at all. Maybe they should have done the assisted dying route after his last day outside

It is isn’t it, but it’s the reality of the awful illness that’s MND. They can’t make it any differently, I think they’re committed to being as realistic as possible.

I agree that they're portratying reality.

Would they deliver that message in the A&E waiting room?

Wow! That was brutal. Agree that Bernie was amazing. I was sobbing when they let Billy say goodbye not knowing he'd already died 😭

Fair play to the writers. Corrie and the other soaps fall down a bit these days but they researched and wrote this carefully and respectfully. Jane Hazelgrove played a blinder in this episode. Hope Billy doesn’t find out.

That bit was incredible. WOW WOW WOW Bernie. Outstanding.

That was an amazing episode. I am an absolute wreck.

I hope that the storyline has helped raise a lot of money for the MND charities/research.

Hope Gemma doesn't blab

Shows that consulting with Rob Burrows and his family really made the difference with this storyline.

Oh so, so sad but so well done

Hopefully Bernie, Gemma and Summer will keep that secret.
