So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

I'm down south (home counties) and it was used here when I was a teen. Not often. Slash/piss was more common. But it definitely was used.

Slash, piss and waz are all horrible terms, wherever they are spoken.

Jimmy here in London, as in Jimmy Riddle. Much more refined.

Apology to the actress as she's only playing the role she's given but Beth is an awful person. Sour faced and miserable and her dress sense has long since stopped being quirky and amusing. "Do you think I'm quirky Kirky"? 🙄😄

So Toyah's hospital bed is still warm after her hysterectomy and she's going out for the day and getting up to rumpy-pumpy with Nick? Mine was about 8 years ago, granted, but at that stage I was just about able to have a shower, put some jogging bottoms and aside going to the corner shop (as part of my recovery) I was mainly lying on the sofa. It's a major op, it really takes it out of you for at least 4-6 weeks (unless you have keyhole but it doesn't sound like that for Toyah.)

That’s exactly what we said! And her cancer is miraculous. My best friend died of ovarian and this plot is just an insult.

How old is Amy? Wouldn’t she be having full control of the trust fund instead of asking Ken?

I think it is possible to set an age...18 or 21 or older? I feel as if in our original wills we set 23 so our kids would be finished third level. And we had 3 trustees.

Amy is 20 - same age as dd- unless script writer decided to change it which they did with Asda and Aldi

What is Rowan's accent supposed to be? He was really mangling his words when Amy left the flat and Leanne (another new top?) was questioning his recording of the session.

Who would bother to get an earlier flight home for no real reason especially if you've booked a return. It costs money to change

Rowan reminds me of that celebrity hairdresser from the 80s.

A shame Amy isn't as savvy as we all hoped, she didn't even consider not investing the whole £40000.

Amy is a big disappointment. Who is this ‘financial advisor’ who said this was a good deal? Even if you take it at face value The Institute seems to be a kind of pyramid selling operation. You give them money (never see it back) then bring in someonelse who donates money. At non face value, you give Rowan money, he blackmails you and then disappears.

Really surprised that Tracy thought the investment should go ahead. And Ken changing his mind after a quick phone search.
