So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

What else?

Hope and the necklace aren't going to make any difference now that he has confessed to a relationship with her .

Yes that's true. That detail seemed so important but it was pointless really, it just told viewers he dunnit.

Dorin needs to be in the credits, he is a better actor than Joel. 😊😆

Do you think Dorin is small for his age? He has excellent speech for such a young lad. He’s adorable.

But why is he speaking in English when he has lived in Romania all his life.........and yes, I do know he isn't really romanian

I thought Alina said he was born in Hastings

Dorin hasn't been in Romania all his life, Alina said she came back to the UK because she was being threatened in Romania. She and Dorin have been living in Hastings! I think she said he was actually born here.

He must have been born about April 2022(?) so he looks about right I think? He has good language skills so the actor may be a bit older.

I'm getting really sick of Beth now. I wish they would write her out. I find her a pointless and annoying character who always has a face like a slapped arse. Lisa George who plays her is not even that good an actress in this role. I feel like she USED to be OK. but I'm under the impression now that the actress is bored with the role. The character is annoying and dull, and IMO pointless now. Maybe Kirk-eh can dump her ass and she can leave!

I would hope deedee records any conversations they have. She seems very sensible. I think she should record conversations with his ex too.
I like the fact that Tracey has a bladder and goes for a waz.
I would not think health and safety and workplace insurance people would approve of cute toddlers in garages. Poor Fizz.
And Kirk has remembered Peanut who might become a tug of love dog if the adults continue to argue.

Yes I assumed that deedee was recording that conversation with Joel but you never saw her pick up her phone again.

Dorin looked for too big for that playpen! I guess everyone (except Hope obviously) will to come to love Dorin then Alina will swoop in and take him back.

Beth is a very annoying character and the storylines she has had lately have been terrible. She’s 50 and stomps around like a stroppy 12 year old.

I think DeeDee should be scared of Joel, given what he did to Lauren. I assume he will kidnap/attack her, and Swain/Lauren/Emily will save her. Either that or DeeDee will somehow entrap him.

If Tracy finds out about Rowan he’ll be mincemeat.

Think Coronation Street is the only place where everyone, incuding teenagers, uses the word "wazz" !

What happened to Amy and Uni? She also had a radio show for a while and now seems to have been taken in by a totally ridiculous cult. I glaze over as soon as Rowan appears on the screen. None of it makes any real sense.

I can't help you there, I don't think it does make sense!

I am wondering what is going on with Kit, although that probably doesn't make sense either so little point wondering. He's Bernie's son, he's kind to Paul and Gemma, but he is doing various dodgy cop things including planting evidence, apparently 'for' Sarah and Bethany. I assumed he was keen on Sarah but he has totally ignored her. So why did he do it? Was it just so he could 'find' the evidence and look like he solved the case - Brownie points - and now he's come unstuck. No idea.

Kit's also gathering stuff on blabbermouth Craigy, presumably to blackmail him with at some point. He's got his fingers in a lot of pies.

Craigy will have conveniently forgotten that he changed some evidence when his girlfriend ran over the old man. Nowadays he’s back to thinking he’s the perfect copper.

Yes Kit does seem to like gathering info he can use later, and he's been involved in several strands of plot. I don't see where it is all going.

Lived in Manchester most of my life, and hardly ever heard that word used!
