So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

What else?

Where exactly is this "resource centre" going to be and exactly what are the resources? So fed up of this ridiculous story and that they have made savvy Amy so gullible. Yet another complete character change to fit a dodgy storyline.

Not only is Amy so gullible, what about Ken - and Tracy? As if Tracy would not be asking questions.

I assume the Resource Centre (which will never happen) is supposed to be a base where they can upload, rather than sitting in Leanne's flat or Debbie's hotel.

I assume Kit is going to get the truth out of daft Craig about 'what he did' and use it to blackmail Beth, who will then disappear to Norfolk (they would surely not have mentioned Norfolk if that wasn't going to happen). Kit is looking increasingly menacing, especially in his scenes with Daisy.

Amy is such a bright girl that its a little unbelievable that she would be so gullible. Also Ken and Tracey? It makes little to no sense that they are not asking way more questions before even thinking about letting this happen.

Was anyone else looking forward to Tracey ripping into Rowan? I was hoping she would proper have him on this. Seems she is being as gullible as the rest of them.

I only had my appendix out and has no interest whatsoever in DH 'fixing my wardrobe' for a good 6 weeks afterwards!

When the investment goes wallop and Amy loses everything Tracey will go berserk and completely blame Leanne, that should be a good episode 😄

Yes I thought the mention of Norfolk was to get rid of Beth, not a spoiler just a guess because of Kit and his chats with Craig.

I can't believe Deirdres inheritance will be invested. Aadi will spot something. He loves Amy.

Has Leanne made any money from the institute.

Yes I was. It was a really out of character moment for Tracey. “Oh I’m so proud of my 20 year old daughter giving her entire inheritance to some dodgy bloke with highlights supervised by Leane”. It just wouldn’t happen! I predict some serious screaming and threatening Leane in a few weeks when Nicky Clark has run off with all their money!

Tracy and Leanne already have beef don't they, because Steve was the father of the Sainted Oliver. I suppose this will stoke it up again. Leanne is not going to have a good time of it, what with that and Nick (presumably) finally kicking her to the kerb.

Anyone know what 'uploading' involves in this context? The only 'uploading' I'm familiar with is uploading files when working in Sharepoint!!

In this situation it appears to mean sitting in front of other people and confessing all your previous sins, to make you feel cleansed. In reality it's so that Rowan can secretly record you and use it against you in the future.....I think.

Kit's doing something similar elsewhere.

@Cural You're right about Rowan/Kit, and that's the problem at the moment (well one of them!) when you add Joel to the mix there is an overload of half-baked villains. Although at least Kit is doing a good job of being menacing.

What is the thing the institute does where everyone shouts about how awful someone is? Probably just before Willow talks to you.

The Institute reminds me of the 'cult' Exegesis, about which the BBC made a documentary in the 1980s. The object of the group was [of course] to extract cash from people. Early version of 'influencers' - I seem to recall seminars, chanting etc.

Just watched Lisa George on TM. She was so happy and smiley, unrecognisable as on screen Beth.

I hope Amy is undercover too. That would be excellent. Maybe Tracy is a secret agent.

@Shellingbynight I think the financial advisor is another member of the institute...Rowan would have set Amy up with her specifically to make her think investing is a good idea.

Even though Ken changed his mind, he still had a look of concern on his face like he knew something just wasn't quite right.

Aadi was the voice of reason a couple of weeks ago when he warned Amy to be careful...where has he gone?

How much of a see-saw is this Nick and Toyah thing though?? One minute they're like "right, we'll tell Leanne, we love each other" then the next they're back to "no, we can't tell her, it'll push her closer to Rowan and the Institute".

We all know it's going to come out sooner or later whether they tell Leanne themselves or if Rowan tells her...

It was awful .
Leanne was blindfolded and sat in the middle of a circle of people and they shouted insults at her about all her wrong doings previously.

Thinking about it ....where did all those people come from ?

Are they people that had invested as well 🤔?

I remember that...I thought and hoped she would've dropped out after that or Rowan would've told her she wasn't good enough to level up...
