I hope people haven't paid for tickets to this, it is bad enough on TV but the crowds won't be able to see much at all.

I thought the river procession was a great idea, but this feels very grey and laboured

I think the reason why this feels 'wrong' is because the showy element is usually at the start of the evening, and the flame lighting is a big deal- and then the athletes parade is the 'end' bit (with a bit of a performance after).

This all feels a bit mixed up.
