New thread here

I wonder if they come up with these recipes themselves or if they come up with the idea and then they have a development chef help them with the actual recipe? Or if they just find them somewhere on the internet?

I mean, they wanted theatrical, not bloody revolting.

I blame Heston Blumenthal. (Although I did miss his mince pies in Waitrose this year.)

Not the one from a few years ago with the pine icing sugar. Smelled like toilet cleaner.

Sunbird24 · 16/05/2024 21:19

How was Gregggg not expecting a fire breather? It’s literally Chris’ job!

I've always wondered that.

ilovesooty · 16/05/2024 21:19

Oh fuck off with Doctor George.

littlbrowndog · 16/05/2024 21:20

No, the spiced lemon ones. I used to eat them solidly from early October through to early January.

fourquenelles · 16/05/2024 21:20

Bye bye winky!

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 16/05/2024 21:20

Excellent. Farewell, George.

Sunbird24 · 16/05/2024 21:20

Maybe we should collectively submit this as a question to Richard Osman & Marina Hyde on 'The Rest is Entertainment', its exactly the sort of thing they know about.

On and WOOHOO, the parsnip ribcage did for Grinning George

Theeyeballsinthesky · 16/05/2024 21:22

Yay Mary stays 😁

I think they must come up with the recipes by tweaking things they find online. I can't imagine they have any help. By this point I suspect there must be hours of practice between rounds.

Would love to see the contracts as I guess they can't just pull stuff from BBC Good Food like we do every night and change a couple,of things.

ilovesooty · 16/05/2024 21:22

Oh god. Foraging.

littlbrowndog · 16/05/2024 21:22

This dude is favourite on Saturday morning kitchen

TheDogsMother · 16/05/2024 21:22

Ooh here we go, live fire cooking. What could possibly go wrong. A bit of foraging too.

EsmaCannonball · 16/05/2024 21:23

It does annoy me when they rush through them cooking their own food and then we get the boring restaurant segments.

Please don't let Niklas turn out to be a knob. I like him on Saturday Kitchen.

Halsall · 16/05/2024 21:23

Foam'n'foraging. Grim.

fourquenelles · 16/05/2024 21:23
