So martin freemen is back as crisis ridden police officer Chris Carson

S2 is set 6mths after s1

Chris is trying to rebuild his life by being a better father and survive the corruption that sucked him in s1

Still desperate to escape nights he agrees to do his old boss a favour which ends up dragging him into a murky case involving drug dealer franny

Where as the mum of baby I thought was a good mums d did her best

Maybe they will make a go of it in s3

Will there be an episode 3 considering Chris is no longer a responder though?

I liked that ending, thought a lot of positive things happened in the end, considering what a mess everything was!

Eek, meant Series 3, not Episode 3, d'oh!

Late to the party I know but I just watched the final episode.
Can anyone explain why Franny and his crew let Casey and Chris go when they were about to kill them?
I thought Debs and Rachel were racing over to save them in the nick of time but it seemed to be hours later when Rachel turned up alone. And why did one of Franny’s crew let on where they were anyway?
We never did find out what Chris had done to get demoted, did we?
And Ray Mullen, having been very badly beaten up by Chris, in the church - will anything come of that?
I hope there’s a third series to tie up some of these loose ends.
