So martin freemen is back as crisis ridden police officer Chris Carson

S2 is set 6mths after s1

Chris is trying to rebuild his life by being a better father and survive the corruption that sucked him in s1

Still desperate to escape nights he agrees to do his old boss a favour which ends up dragging him into a murky case involving drug dealer franny

what is this group he is in? the roundup said Book Group, but that doesnt seem likely

The young woman who stole the drugs in Series one & told Chris that they had then been stolen from her.

She was kicked out of a club for selling drugs in the first episode of this series.

It's so depressing but so well written with occasional comic moments. Superb acting from Martin Freeman, Josh Finan (Marco) and Emily Fairn (Casey).

i really enjoy it, agree with the superb acting.

Oh my god, it was so depressing .

I haven’t even started this series yet but the first was very good. I think Martin Freeman puts on a decent Scouse accent too- although I’m sure scousers would be better judges than me !
Martin Freeman is early 50s in real life so I guess he’s playing his age..

People who joined on previous terms and conditions could retire in their early 50s if they did their full 30 years.

I think that policy was removed some years ago meaning people couldn’t retire until they are 60.

I love this show. It's so depressing. Which is appreciate, is contradictory.

Well done her but obv Chris now has to sort the mess out

Such a depressing show.

I did think as he gave baby to the stranger then the doors would shut and baby would be travelling alone

I thought that about the train doors closing!

I feel sad that she got off the train but it actually shows what a good person she is, for wanting the baby to have the best chance (or maybe I'm too nice, maybe she just didn't want to be good).

I hope the mum doesn't get the baby back, as he's really trying his best.

This programme is so depressing but I love it. I'd like to think police aren't that bent but the rest of it feels so sadly true of current society.

Also I have abusive parents and I was pissed off that he made up with his dad.
