Daisy, have a word with your flatmate, won't you? Got to be a third series in there somewhere.

Arabica · 29/03/2008 23:44

Homicide: Life on the Street absolutely brilliant, innovative camerawork, excellent roles for women...

Top of the Pops! (but not with that ghastly Fearne Cotton)

DaisySteiner · 29/03/2008 23:48

He's just too busy with all his fancy new mates like David Schwimmer to be bothered with me Even Colin's pining (I tried to tempt him with some of Delia's Shepherd's Pie but he wouldn't try it )

Desiderata · 29/03/2008 23:55

The Duchess of Duke Street, anyone?

ArcticRoll · 29/03/2008 23:58

Desi- ooh I'd forgetten all about Duchess of Duke Street-I loved that!

Desiderata · 30/03/2008 00:00

So did I, Arctic

God, I wish they'd put that back on. I know it would look all dated, but who cares? As far as I'm aware, it's never been repeated.

ArcticRoll · 30/03/2008 00:02

The main actress played Bridget Jones' mother in film.

Desiderata · 30/03/2008 00:21

Did she really?

I can still picture her face now. I shall Google tomorrow

I guess the Duchess of Duke Street was her biggest part. I don't recall seeing her in too much after that.

SueBaroo · 30/03/2008 00:32

Upstairs Downstairs. Can't believe they're all mostly dead now.

Quantum Leap. Sam never got home.

Can't say Life on Mars because a)I've got the boxsets and b)it doesn't feel like it's gone anywhere to me because of the joy of forums (fora?)

UnquietDad · 30/03/2008 00:47

oo, Drop the Dead Donkey! I lurve Neil Pearson.

oh, in that case Between the Lines, too.

choosyfloosy · 30/03/2008 02:11

Ooh between the lines!!! i loved it - but tbh i thought it went massively off the rails when neil and thingy were no longer in the police, but were PIs or whatever. spent most of the time arguing with siobhan redmond over whether or not she would give them information. necessary as she clearly wouldn't have done in RL.

upstairs downstairs.

There was a great one in the mid 90 about nannies during Victorian times - I think it was called Berkeley Square

I see a pattern here, clearly I should go into service asap.

I also liked The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin but can hardly remember it as I was only about 7 when it was on, but I read all the books a few years later.

UnquietDad · 30/03/2008 15:48

You can still see Upstairs Downstairs on ITV3 at the weekend!
