I don't like Fern. She's a bit sly and passive aggressive.

Fern loves to take things out of context. That's what dancers do, they teach and are strict, they all push the contestants, absolutely normal.

But I can imagine her complaining after the fact.

I think Louis will win and ZeZe has really grown on me, complete turnaround for me actually !

I do think Fern has a huge issue with her age. She gets very triggered by anyone who she believes alludes to it (Sharon/Nikkita/Louis)

My best guess is that Phil S ditched her off This Morning for a younger co host at the height of his powers and it has made her paranoid ever since.

She should have done a Louis and thrown out all the gossip and then claimed a foggy memory

I don’t think she seems to have an issue about her age, but it’s all many of them have gone on about, especially Louis, no wonder she may be getting a complex 🙈

As a lady of a certain age with older teens and a 20 year old,

I'm not entirely sure why Fern is surprised why 20 odd year olds think she isn't fun, going to bed too early and not interacting with them unless necessary.

No the younger ones know she's not protective, she's not a stand back and calm the atmosphere parent figure.
She's one of those that still competes with the young ones, an ideal candidate for a romantic scam being one of those women who believes she's still in the running.

Ferns whole celeb persona is about writing cosy books about Cornwall and jam making for country fetes - middle aged mum stuff, which is fine, I like those things too but I'm not going to be offended if a twenty something feels like we don't have a lot in common. Or is she like Lorraine Kelly and her private persona is totally different? If so, we haven't seen any evidence of it.

I do really wish Fern would actually dish the gossip but it's not going to happen 😭

I love Bradley and Nikita. I don't think that when I was in my 20s I necessarily related to a woman in her 60s either. No malice at all, just nowt in common. I don't think they are being ageist or misogynistic. They just formed a bond together (with Colson and David, too) Totally understandable in my mind. I've reached that age where I've become a bit invisible myself, but I wouldn't hold owt against anyone younger who didn't relate to me, unless they asserted some sort of age related issue.

Also, I don't think it's been said yet, so I'm going to say it. I wonder if David has ADHD. I say that because I have ADHD myself and recognise some traits.

Fern seems more sad than anything else to me. I understand the young lads have nothing in common on the surface but surely they have older female relatives they can use to relate to Fern.

Nikita does seem to be more than just disinterested and dismissive though. If it isn't something to do witht he Strictly dancer thing mentioned above (I've no idea, didn't even know Fern had been on it), then maybe Fern has just inadvertantly said something to upset him.
