Gutted that Zeze is out but she has a career to get back to as does Marisha.

I don’t get the Nikita attraction - I think he’s a dull cold fish attached like a barnacle to Bradley - maybe because I’m 47 - but wot 2 posters upthread said nailed it for me (a) he looks like David Emmanuelle Princess Di’s wedding dress co designer which he really really does and I was 8 at the time and thought DE was strange looking and so figures I wouldn’t think nikita was handsome and (b) I think it’s the blond highlights in his dark hair that evokes the suspicion of charity shop smells for me - makes hair look dusty/ dirty might smell musty when it’s not ?

I think Nikita is getting a bit of an unfair rap here (and I certainly don't think he looks like he smells musty - wtf?!). I agree with pp that Fern is obviously dying to say, "WHY HAVE YOU VOTED FOR ME EVERY TIME?!!" but can't, so it's come out in making a drama sparked off by a top.

She couldn't even stand by what she said and just backed down in the garden. We've all had a colleague or someone who you don't really gel with, nothing bad - you just don't really click, but you're perfectly capable of keeping it civil and polite with them. I think that's how Nikita views Fern, whereas she's tipped it over into something else by obviously brooding and overthinking and dragging up a throwaway comment about a stripey top.

I'm sure all the fawning over Sharon by everyone didn't help. Sharon was held up as a fabulous goddess revered by all 😆 whilst Fern is the mumsy one who gets mildly patronised (Awww Ferny, you're so cute!) and wrapped up as a mummy for the lols! She's obviously had enough and Nikita is getting the brunt of it.

Everything Fern says and does to assert or stand up for herself is turned into a negative. She’s an intelligent strong lady.
Should she just fade sweetly into the background because she’s 66? Zeze and Marisha would be considered boring if they did that.
Such a shame that few people seem to recognise ageism or see it as a problem worth addressing. We’re all ageing

I liked Nikita at the start but I don’t anymore. He may not recognise his comment about the stripy top as being patronising, but there is no way he would say something similar to Bradley who he respects. The fact he made such a fake cheery comment to her at all when he clearly dislikes her, makes me think he is playing up to the cameras.
I wish I could pick a winner from the remaining contestants but I really couldn’t give a fig who wins now.

I agree and I don’t think people would be so quick to dismiss it if someone made a comment that was unintentionally racist for example.

I think Nikita should have just apologised for his assumption that Fern didn’t know what was fashionable and she would have accepted it gracefully as Zeze and Levi did earlier when he said something that could potentially have upset them.

I think we all make unintentional assumptions about people when we really shouldn’t. If pointed out, the decent thing to do is to accept it & apologise.

I agree Nikita is playing up to the cameras. But then aren’t they all? It’s a game and the only hope of surviving till the end is to play the game. Some of them are more able than others to appear like they’re ignoring the cameras. Others glance at the cameras eg David when he was hugging someone(can’t remember who it was) last night he appeared to be looking over their shoulder at the camera and looked like he was more invested in the camera than the hug. Ekin Su often glanced at the camera when she was talking.

I doubt if any of them are in normal behaviour mode while under 24hr surveillance. They are all in there to play a game and some are better than others at it.

'I like your top. Stripes are cool right now.' I think he was on his own with someone he doesn't have much to do with and made a - what he regarded as pleasant - comment in passing and it's been blown out of proportion.

Nikita's comment wasn't ageist & I say that as someone older. Fern is upset that he has nominated her and is looking for any excuse to have a go.

I'm also not ageist just because I don't like her or feel she's giving off mean girl vibes. I can't see anything likeable about her at all as there's no warmth there or humour, just a prickly person.

Equally, I'm not a fan of david as find his lack of trousers really quite intimidating & aggressive (as I said previously) & find Colson & Bradley very bland.

Not a fan of Louis either but he has entertained me so I hope he wins. I loved Sharon & Marisha & had hoped marisha would win.

Also, does Nikita not realise that fern saw the task where he admitted he had voted for fern 3 times as the others were all watching on the screen. Would fern be in trouble for saying something to him about it as it was there for all to see.

I'd be happy if either Louis, Fern or Bradley won. The rest haven't done anything really and I hope Nikita goes out first. Shame it's always the girls who get voted out.

Actually David is ok but agree with the trouser thing! The first night when his legs were all oiled up I just kept thinking how he's going to get the new sofa all mucky 🤢

Tbh I have enjoyed having Louis in the house more and more as time has gone on. He's just himself and doesn't give a shit.

I wonder why Nikita dislikes Fern so much ? Does she remind him of his mum? He has voted for her all along and he does seem to be quite sullen watching her.
Think Fern went about it the wrong way regarding the patronising comment but I think I can understand how she feels. It’s not until you are treated this way you start to under any sort of prejudice. I do think Fern was mean to Ekin Su who I think is actually quite vulnerable.

Nikita was just making awkward conversation with Fern about the stripey top. She has been festering and overthinking since she found out he had nominated her three times, coupled with him blanking her while they were peeling potatoes.

Fern had a drink, got a bit confident and it all spilled out - in a very muddled way. When Nikita bit back, she was left floundering. She underestimated him and you shouldn’t tackle awkward subjects on top of a few wines.

Didn’t the crowd chant “Get Fern out!” last night?

David’s funny but I would prefer Bradley to win as he seems so lovely or even Louis (I know!) because he has been the most entertaining one in my opinion. I liked his dynamic with Sharon then Zeze & he’s rarely boring.

Entertainment wise, Louis has been the best value.

The trio of Nikita, Bradley and David will be in the final. Nikita will prob win due to the Strictly fan base.

I don’t think Nikita will win. His spat with Fern will divide opinion (as it has on this thread). Amongst the younger ones, David & Bradley haven’t upset anyone and are more entertaining to watch as well.

I voted for Bradley to win, he probably won't but I didn't want him to be out tomorrow or whenever the surprise eviction is. Louis has been the best value though.

I want David to win - I think he's hilarious but also has a caring side. Louis would be my next choice but it would mean more to David I think.

This is my thought too, we're obviously being fed an 'edit' that Nikita doesn't speak to Fern, but then we're shown him complimenting her

Fern is a hypocrite when it comes to ageism, she used it as an excuse to have a go at Nikita yet she has been ageist about Colson when he commented on having a pain after a task. She's fuming since she found out Nikita has nominated her 3 times.

She was one of my favourites at the start of this series but now she's my least likeable housemate. She'll probably win as she'll have a big following like some of the previous winners from Loose Women. Fern has been the biggest game player this series.
